Another great year at Pine Drive Christian School! My family and I are very happy with this school. Our child is receiving a quality education in a Christian and caring atmosphere. The school director, teachers, and staff are wonderful. Pine Drive Christian School participates in the ACSI's annual Math Olympics, Science Fair, Speech competition, and Spelling Bee which gives the students the opportunity to compete academically with students from other Christian schools. Pine Drive Christian School also has annual events, monthly family dinners, and field trips through out the school year. Annual trips are planned for the 5th to 12th graders (Washington, DC in 2013, New York City in 2014, and Philadelphia this year). We highly recommend Pine Drive Christian School!

I've been going to Pine Drive since I was 4. It's the only school I've ever know, I don't want to leave but my parents said that if there isn't enough students I'll have to go. :( I'm going into the 7th grade and I have a year to save my school. I have talked with my principal and I'm going to talk to the pastor of the church. Please don't make me leave my school. ENROLL NOW!!!!!!

The students like it for the lax dress code and relaxed atmosphere and the fact there is very little homework. The standards are not very high, as would be expected at a Christian school. There is little or no communication between parents, faculty and administration. They use an online site for grades, but it is not used effectively. At this time, the school is going through yet another crisis with administration and leadership. My advice: Look elsewhere

If you want a school where your child will learn, grow, prosper, succeed, and where he/she will be loved, then Pine Drive is your ideal school. As a parent, if you want your child to be happy and receive a Christian education from a smiling, loving teacher, then you have found your school. In my experience, 100% of the population won't be pleased 100% of the time, but sometimes it seems people just choose to be unhappy. Keep that in mind. Give Pine Drive a try! You WILL like it, and your children will LOVE it.

Critical thinking skills are NOT taught in this curriculum; your children will be LOST when they are asked to think for themselves and the answers don't come to them in bold face print. The faculty and staff definitely give preferential treatment to some students. Overall, I would rather home school a child than pay for them to go to this "school" (and I use that term VERY loosely)

I have been attending this school for almost my whole life, I have never really enjoyed it, except with the time with my favorite science teacher. But some teachers in this school will give you demerits and sometimes behavior referrals for the smallest things. This school also has problems with keeping teachers for longer than a couple months. We had about 8 history teachers in about 2-3 years. It is a real problem, but its probably because they don't pay as well as most schools, for obvious reasons. But, I have to say I loved the people, they were always nice and in all my time in this school I didn't see a single real fight. I loved the student body. The biggest problem in my eyes, was the the lack of a verity of courses in the school.

I love this school. The teachers are great and really love the children. There needs to be a bit more communication between the staff and parents. Beginning, Aug.2010 I believe the school will address these issues. I understand a new Headmaster will be taking over and that she is top in this field. Watch this school grow.

Pine Drive Christian School is not a Christian at ALL. The staff are not forgiving or accepting of ALL students. They have 'favorites' that get chosen for plays; student of the month, chapel serves performers and academic events. They are unprofessional and unorganized as a whole. The Pastor is rarely seen on campus and does not offer Christian counseling when there are personal or discipline issues. The Students are not treated equal. The music teacher yells quit frequently at the students. One of the second grade teachers has been heard yelling at her class with the door closed which she could be heard from down the hall. The ladies in after school care are so busy sitting at the table gossiping about others that they don't even know when a student is being harassed by another student. The lady in after school care is very rude to the students. NO Stars!

I have had two children graduate from PDCS. They received a great education. They are both attending 4-year universities now - one at a state school and one at a private school. They were thoroughly prepared for college, and both received significant college scholarships as well. We loved PDCS because not only were the kids prepared academically, the teachers and administrators truly loved and cared about them. Our experience with PDCS was a great one.

I have been teaching at Pine Drive for many years and I still love it. We have great kids, teachers who are devoted and wonderful parents. At times we have been very merciful to students because we are a Christian school. I am proud of this school. I recommend it to everyone. Our facilities are well used but the love and people make up for that.

I have been involved in PDCS since 1996-have 2 children attending-and volunteer often...we love this school. You will not find a more loving environment that truly cares about your childs feelings, grades and overall wellbeing. Of course like anywhere there are issues but nothing that cant be resolved. The pastor is an absolute extraordinary man with a heart for God. His love for his faculty, students and parents is sensational. He will address any problem you take to him w/a loving heart and go thru the proper channels to resolve it in a Christian manner. If you want your child to be praised, loved and well educated academically and Biblically, send them to PDCS.

I had my children at this school from Kindergarten. The elementary is great with wonderful teachers but once they get into junior and high school it dramatically drops. The High School especially is bad. They can't keep teachers and the administrator does absolutely nothing for either the students, parents or teachers. If you ask me the school is long overdue for an administration change. Maybe when they lose accrediation that might actually happen.

We have had our daughter in the school for three years now and have found the school to be excellent. The staff and parents have been involved and we have had no problems with the school. I would recommend this school to anyone who is looking for an alternative to public school

I love PDCS, my daughter has attended this school for 2yrs. She learned respect, love and compassion taught to her in a loving christian way. Not to mention her above average academic acheivements...all due to the awesome curriculun at Pinedrive, she has learnt bible verses and psalms, she can tell you many bible stories. She sings all the time and begs to go to afterschool care! Thank you Pine Drive!

As a former public school teacher, I know what is being taught in public schools. If you want a secular view of the world taught to your child, then put them in public school. If you want your child to learn about life and the world from a Biblical perspective and how the Lord can use them in a day where anything goes, then put them in PDCS. Saftey is number one. Respect is also important. Learning and being able to discern the truth from propaganda, then PDCS is for you. The staff has quality teachers who dearly love their students. Devotion to them is a major reason you should enroll your child because you won't find this kind of sincerity many others places. Perhaps parents should be grateful that there is a place to put their children so they can be raised to learn the truth about the Living God.

This was our first year at Pine Drive and I can say that my kids are doing good and the teachers are caring and helpful. I think the school and the facilities are older and out of date and it would really be nice if the faculty seemed happy and not so much yelling and more positive reinforcement. I love that my youngest child sings song and is happy and at times does not want to leave. Overall it is better than public schools.

Although I love Pine Drive, there are definitely some issues that the administration needs to fix. I wish I could see more smiles on the faces of the Prinicipal and some of the secretaries. I also wish that the Pastor of the church and the Principal of the school would attend more school functions, because they want to, and take pride in our athletics and theater program. The football team had a good season this school year, so they received much attention, but the athletic teams should be praised and encouraged all the time, not just when they are winning. I mainly want the Pastor and the Principal to step up and show their love for this school. Other than that, the teachers are very loving, and it is not hard to find that small group of young men and women of God who are preparing themselves to impact thier generation.

I lo ve t the school. I am pleased to see the Amdinisstrator and Principal greeting the children and parents at the door when they arrive. Parent/Teacher communication is the only problem I see that could use some improvement. The older children really make the younger children feel special and that is to be commended. It may not be the best looking school or have the best athletics department but it is growing and the foundation 'God' and 'Education' is highly enforced. My son loves the school and so do I.

My child has attended this school for 2 years now. The attention that these children recieve is unsurpassed in my eyes. The manners of the older children are wonderful! My daughters grades are excellent and her reading skills for a kindergarden student are unbelievable. The holiday programs are outstanding and every parent event that I have attended has been packed full of parents and fun! My child also sings songs and says words in spanish that I don't even know. When I pick her up from school there is no talk of negative things that she has heard, seen, or learned only positive so far. Yes, it is an older looking school but they have everything a child needs to succeed in education and much more! I went to Dickinson public school and never do I remember the kind of attention that my child has at Pine Drive.

After only a short time of dealing with this school as a parent, it is painfully obvious that there are serious problems that need attention. The teachers and administration make no effort to hide their lack of enthusiasm for their jobs. Communication between parents and school is terrible. This school also seems to be content with it's drab curriculum. I have seen no exposure to current technology. It is a huge responsibility to provide a quality education to children, but I don't think that the staff takes this task seriously. My child will not be returning to this school.

Teachers who genuinely love their children. The teachers at this school wear out their knees in prayer for their students, and despite the occasional issues and problems that plague all schools, Pine Drive can not be matched in that respect.

We placed our child in this school because we felt the schools in the area were lacking. It has been a horrible experience.Other parents are rude especially at sporting events, and cheer inappropriately during games. I am embarrassed my child goes to this school and had we not paid so much money we would withdraw now.Parents get some class!!! And remember you're supposed to be Christians.

I have found this school is definetly a better alternative to public in our area. My kids are in highschool and have attended since kindergarton. The athletics are improving with our new atletic director in place. Quality teachers are definetly lacking.I'm sure it is due to the pay. It certianly contributes to it.Overall there is a 'family feeling to the school'. I do wish they would offer more electives. It is a very basic school with little opportunity to learn and offer creative courses for 'thinkers outside of the box.' Learning more about the world is absent. Perhaps a course in the different cultures in world. Perhaps this would allow our kids to value all types of people.

My child attended 2 yrs. in the high school level. Overall I am quite disappointed. This year they have allowed children who have come from other schools with behavior problems. Yet the student handbook states they will not except anyone who is not in good standing with the school they have come from.We have realized that the layout of the school prevents the staff from seeing people coming and going into there school. They do have some good teachers who want to help the kids succeed.I speak only from the high school level. Overall we were very disappointed.

Overall our experience at PDCS has been excellent. Our son has been there for 2 years now. The Teachers and staff are great however more parent involvement is needed.
