IDEA College Preparatory just received the honor of top school in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, the school was just rated 13th in the whole USA (up from 19th last year) out of 21,000 schools. It is number 1 in our region, 1st charter school in Texas, 3rd charter school in the whole USA, and 2nd Open Enrolment (Not Selective entry) school in the US. Absolutely the BEST school in the region for my daughter who will graduate this year. Don't listen to the drop-outs who write bad reviews and prefer to party than study! They will get the future they earn. A bright future is worth working hard for!

This school has changed my daughter's grades tremendously! She has learned alot ever since we withdrawed her from her previous school. It took a while to get her here, but it was worth it.

This school is not for everyone. It is for anyone willing to work hard with the goal of preparing to excel in college and life. No excuses is the mantra, because everyone has excuses for why they didn't reach their potential. I have seen too many students decide to change their future at this school to give into excuses anymore. As an IDEA parent, spouse of an IDEA teacher and someone wanting to see education in America improve, I am glad to see a school requiring students and parents take responsibility for their education! We should demand more from all our schools, it's our tax dollars.

For those kids who left idea and the parents who gave in to their whims and whining because it was to much work; over 3000 kids on waiting lists trying to get in to pick up where they left off.Great job admin /teachers.All that extra work and prep that my my kids do now will pay off for them when they get to university and dead lines have to be met for papers/projects and exams are around the corner. Thanks

Idea College Prep in Donna, focuses on just keeping the kids busy and not teaching them the things they should be learning. Science Academy is a much better learning environment.

I had my daughter in a private school before I transferred her to IDEA. We are very happy with the staff, I feel that the teachers treat students like people with real needs and I like the fact that the teachers are readily available via phone for homework help. I highly recommend this school to any parent that is looking for a school that cares for the student academics and socially. They are very friendly people with high expectations but will also do anything to help the students get there. Good Job IDEA Staff.

Guys, I attended 5th Grade, I am now in 8th grade in a regular school. Idea is horrible. So much stress. 3 hours of homework. No gym at the time, though it has one now. If you have a 7th through 10th grader I do not recommend it is the worst mistake that I have made in my life by going there.
