the staff is awesome at this elementary school. Ms.Avila has really turned this school around and the kids are really benefiting from it... My daughter went to school from pre-k-5th grade and she really excelled. thanks to EB Guerra staff my daughter excels in JR high...

They have been opened for about 10 years now...They have recently welcomed a new principal who has moved our elementary in a new direction. Our school has been a recognized campus for the past 2 years.

I think that Guerra is a school on the rise. The new principal is really involved with the children. This past year the students excelled in so many areas. Our students will not allow this school to be forgotten any longer. The staff for the most part is very caring. I have seen a lot of compassion and caring for students from all levels of staff. My children have all attended Guerra and my two oldest have gone on to excell in middle school. Parental involvement is key. I highly recommend this school.

The problem with this school and most of the South Texas schools is their emphasis and attention toward the LEP students. My daughter who speaks only English is not challenged enough. Some of the office staff is rude. They want respect but they don't teach the students respect. I have dubbed this school 'The forgotten school'. It is located in and around farmland and does not even have a school zone. For anyone wanting to enroll their kids in this school district and use their school buses, beware, overcrowded, rude staff at transportation.

I have a son that has attended this school for two and a half years (2nd, 3rd & 4th grade) and I have found that the administration is very involved. The atmosphere is conducive to learning and the compassion is evident. Although my child appears to be learning a lot via the academic aspect, I would like to see the adult etiquette improve. I have witnessed on more than one occasion teachers address children in less than professional terms. This role model demeanor is contradictive to what I would perceive to be acceptable. Most of the staff does not fit this criteria. I find this school to be very good and almost all the staff very professional. I would highly recommend this school.
