This is a wonderful school. I think ECISD has remained one of the best school districts due to their outstanding academic achievements. I live very close to Alamo and San Juan and I am very grateful that my kids go to ECISD. There is a lot of good elemtary school in Alamo and San Juan but when it comes to middle school and high school everything goes down the tube after that. My guess is that the ones that do suceed through the PSJA schools should get an extra major award for making it because the school district for PSJA is very poor in academic achievements.

This school has fallen into the idea that teaching to a minimal skills teach is the best thing for students. Honestly, you would expect an administrator that has statistics in their background not to compare a base group to a completely different base group when looking for improvement of their scores. Not very professional. I think Edinburg only looks good only on paper and when the students that are reaching their graduation ages, they will still be reading at a middle school level. I hope Edinburg tracks these students and find out if they are successful after their time in ECISD. My guess is that the ones that are will be inspite of poor leadership in ECISD schools.
