i love this school,my name is aymen mourad from syria I learned in this school in the year 1991-1992 when i viseted usa for the fiest time in my life .The teachers where great ,Good-hearted,kind.It was agreat time and i remember my friends my mexecan friends,wish you the best ,good luck.

This school has an amazing principal. Mr. Teran is a person that will talk to everybody and is actively involved throughout the day with students. He does not tolerate bullying, but if you are looking for a ritzy school as in appearance, then this is not your school. A very clean school with mostly low-income children, nothing wrong with this, but just wanted to point this out to newcomers moving to El Paso. Most teachers have a sincere heart to want to teach all the students! My daughter loves this school, she is on a school transfer and would not want to attend his home school, so I make the thirty minute drive every day.

Awesome teachers, 8th grade reading teacher went above and beyond helping my son pass the taks test. Hope they stay like this when my daughter goes there. Great atmosphere.

I love WIGGS middle school because they have a great staff, from the principal to teachers they care for the well been of the chldren and for them to learn more, and the program that they have conecctions world it is great.

Wiggs is clean, well organized and the Staff and teachers are obviously interested in their children. My child feels safe and he is focused in learning. I am very pleased with this school during this first semester.

Very good school. Band is great. Administration is great, very nice people. I enjoyed working with them as a volunteer. I met Mr. Savina and Mrs. Savina, who are very helpful with the kids and spend countless hours doing everything they can to make the school better. Mr. Feeny is the band director and has many years of experience dealing with kids. The school is always clean and gives off a welcoming atmophere. Mr Teran is another administrator who also made me feel welcomed and Mrs. Savaggio did the same. The kids are what makes the school a great place to learn. They are respectful and eager to learn. The school is in El Paso, Texas, a border town, which means that the school is a multicultural center free of predjudice and racism, generally speaking. If you're are looking to send your kids to school, send them here.

About the tests


In 2012-2013, the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) was used to test students in reading and math in grades 3 through 8; in writing in grades 4 and 7; in science in grades 5 and 8; in social studies in grade 8; and end-of-course assessments for English I, II, and II, Algebra I and II, biology and US History. STAAR is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Texas. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.

The different student groups are identified by the Texas Education Agency; if there are a small number of students in a particular group, the state doesn't report data for that group.
