My child did not have a good year there. I partially blame it on my child coming from a school that was not nearly as academically up to par as St Marks. On the other hand after all the tutoring & testing my child had to go through this year, it was slightly suggested that my child wasn't nearly as far behind as I was told they were by their teacher. Tutors & psychologist suggested the curriculum was too advanced for my child. So a fine program if you're child is above average or "gifted" academically. However, if your child is average or below average this school doesn't offer any help beyond recommendations outside the school Not too great a bang for your buck, unless your child fits into their narrow band of learning styles. Also this is a tight-knit community of ELP's Who's Who's children that have attended this school long-term. I found it very cliquish & favoring those of a certain social standing or income bracket.

Our son began St. Mark's as a middle schooler. His teachers went above and beyond to make sure he felt comfortable and included in the classroom. His fellow students were welcoming as well. He has thrived educationally, socially and emotionally in such a positive environment.

St. Mark's is an outstanding school with exceptional teachers, staff, administrators and principal. My children have attended for the last 7 years and will stay there until they graduate 8th grade. The level of education is superb and the small classes and Christian environment have been a blessing for our children and our family. The curriculum is top notch and the enrichment classes and additional activities offered (sports, PSIA.....) are excellent. The children who attend are some of the kindest, most respectful, caring children I have had the pleasure of meeting and my children have made life long friendships that will carry into adulthood. I would recommend St. Mark's to anyone and everyone in the community!

St. Mark s is an excellent middle school. The academics are geared to each student s needs and abilities preparing them to excel as they enter high school. Some of these classes also qualify for high school credit. The curriculum is well-rounded insuring your child will be prepared for high school and beyond-to college. The administration, the teachers and environment are all geared for your student to be the best they possibly can be. Our family was fortunate to have found St. Mark s it is the best Middle School in El Paso, public or private.

St.marks is the most loving school I've ever seen. It helped my child get better grades because the teacher communicates more with the students. Its more one on one. It's a smaller class compared to other schools. Its just an amazing school thanks to all the teachers and Linda Smith for making this school the best school ever!!!

Our two daughters have attended St. Mark's school since kindergarten.. The impact of the school on our lives has been a tremendous blessing. Without exception, the teachers have been committed, loving professionals. The environment is extremely positive and the academic preparation is top notch. The middle school, although relatively new, has exceeded our wildest expectations. The curriculum is superior, addressing academics, the arts, sports and leadership. The teaching staff is exceptional and have given the students a wonderful foundation that will carry them through life. The conduct of the students, inside the school as well as in the public eye, is remarkable. As parents, we are so grateful to St. Mark's school.

St. Mark's is amazing! The academics are outstanding. The enrichment classes are great-just what my kids need to help them excel in life. The administration seems to work hard to ensure the teachers at the school are the best fit for each grade...they all seem to LOVE what they're doing! The result is a happy, small yet challenging environment. I wouldn't put my three kids anywhere else!

My two children attend St Marks (we moved here two years ago) and St Marks is the best thing we did for our kids. I have a high acheiver child and a high energy child and both are loved and supported by teachers and staff at St. Marks. My children's unique gifts are supported and encouraged by all - a very warm loving environment. People that have their children enrolled in St Marks know what a blessing it is! Thanks Linda Smith for supporting your teachers and making it such a great environment for all.

WOW! If you're looking for a phenomenal middle school in El Paso, TX, St. Mark's is the answer! Not only are the classes small, it has truly dedicated teachers ie... the entire 6th grade class had tutoring available twice a week for math, weekly for science, and as needed for language arts available BEFORE school throughout the year. The faculty and staff are always so helpful and friendly. They help your child to be the best that they can be! My child has "bloomed" at St. Mark's. Unfortunately, we are moving:o(... I want to take St. Mark's with us! You are very fortunate to have the opportunity to send your child to St. Mark's:o) It is an AMAZING SCHOOL!!!!

This is my daughter's second year at St. Mark's. The school is excellent and the best possible answer to the question of middle school in El Paso. Academically it is very solid, the teacher's are accessible and caring, the class sizes are small and there is a full range of programming, including art, computers, music, sports, etc. The tuition is affordable and most importantly, it is a loving, supportive environment that allows the students to excel. We will be with St. Mark's until my daughter goes to high school, no question.

Principal Smith seems to be more concerned with passing the "buck" than taking responsibility for her school and her role. After the third confrontation with her we decided to pull our child out of St. Marks. It may be good for some, but not for us. Honesty and doing what you say you will do is the best policy.

St. Mark's 'Rock's'! If you're looking for a school that has it all--a strong, solid academic program, with opportunities for an even higher-level enrichment and academic competitions(PSIA), an array of fun after-school programs, a dedicated and experienced teaching staff, a strong, qualified, kind and caring principal-- all within a religious based environment --then look no further. My child is thriving at St. Marks!

My daughter started this year (PRE-K). She loves it. She has never been happier at her school. The teachers are great, everyone is super friendly. Mind you that my daughter previously attened a local montessori from which she learned nothing from. She has learned a lot more and has become extremely independent and confident.

St. Mark's provided the best foundation through love, attention due to small classrooms and family, Christian atmosphere. There is not other school like it. Many who have left El Paso have told us they could not find 'a St. Mark's'. Were could you go everyday to be loved, nurtured and enjoy small classrooms and outstanding sports!

My son attended St Mark s during his kinder year and was fortunate to have a caring teacher. However, when he began first grade, things changed. We noticed that he was unhappy and frustrated with school. He cried many times on our way home after school because he was getting bullied and picked on by kids at the school. His teacher informed us that he was behind in class and it was clear that it was up to us to help him. We did, but there was a sense of urgency from his teacher for immediate improvement. So, we took him out of St. Mark s. He now attends a public school. His new teacher has had a remarkable positive impact on him. He has gained back his confidence and looks forward to school! St Mark s maybe a good school for some kids, but it is not the best school for all.

We are so blessed to have found St. Marks fo our 3 children this year. The teachers are wonderful and very caring while also establishing discipline and character development . It is academically challenging and offers many special classes like art, computer, spanish, music, and library weekly. They have many extra curricular activities and the staff is easily accessible. They took extra care in ensuring we made a smooth transition this year.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
