Ive been a huskie since my sophomore year and will be graduating from chapin this year. ive been to many schools considering my parents are in the military and chapin is by far the best school academically, that ive attended. teachers, administration, and students are amazing. chapin has amazing school spirit and almost every student is involved in extracurricular activites. amazing school! GO HUSKIES!
I been too soooooo many high schools and by far this is the best high school I been at! I highly support this school. The teachers care about their students and the students there are all around nice. They have great spirit and this school gives students a second chance. I never had a problem there. Sadly im moveing (military) and going to a way worse school...if you have a choice go to this school! Huskies!!!
This school is awesome. Not just saying this as a student of chapin. The teachers really care and do their best to provide a good education.
Chapin High School is a great school.Teachers administration and the students are all great.I remember walking in as a freshmen and man it went by fast.Homcoming is the best Ive ever seen. And there so much spirit and pride.Cheerleaders and other athletics are also great.Football season is the best.I also get challenged in my work making me a better student.Teachers are also a great help.I mean alot of people says Chapin High is a bad school and so on.But so far all Ive seen is something great. Its been awsome at Chapin. And I look forward for the years ahead.GO HUSKIES.
Chapin High School was an unforgettable experience for me. I was in the magnet program for my freshman and sophmore years but sadly had to move to Oklahoma. The teachers, coaches and students are the best people you will ever meet.
Chapin is a great school! i've been supporting this school since 2002. I am sad to say that this is my final year because my youngest child is graduating this year. The one person who said there is nothing but gangs and drugs is obviously from another school in the northeast. There are too many haters because chapin is the best! go huskies!
Chapin High is a Wonderful school!! Go Huskies!! The principal is amazing, alongside with the administration, and teachers . . . they truly care for their students. The school has an excellent magnet program, and are known for their accademics and sports. There is alot of parental involvement, which is something not seen in many schools these days. Parents are extremely supportive and have become one big family at chapin. Their cheerleading program has also improved substantially, and is still in the works. These young ladies are united more than ever, regardless of those who say differently!! Parents!! In order for a school to be successful . . . We need to remember that first and foremost our children are a reflection of us, then the school. Therefore let's do our job and help our schools be successful. :)
Chapin High is just amazing, having excellent academics as well as athletics. It's a great learning environment and i highly enjoyed my four years as a true blue husky!
My kids attend to Chapin highschool and since then they have been interested and excited about school. This is a beautiful, safe, and great school for any student to attend. Two thumbs up for this highschool
I am attending Chapin this year as a senior. the past three years at Chapin High were one of the greatest years i could possibly have. The academics, sports, teachers are all extaordinary! I am looking forward to this final year at 'The Dawg Pound!' Ch Ch Ch CHAPIN! YOU KNOW!!
My kids love Chapin and so do we- it is challenging and has something for everyone. The teachers bend over backwards to help the freshmen, who unfortunely all too often are coming from middle schools with low standards. Our oldest is autistic, and totally loves Chapin.
I am attending chapin this year, i am a junior, and unfortunattly it wasn't what i had expected. The princaple is amazing, and so are the teachers. But, They are very unorganized, and it gets very fustrating at times, and the students are way too focused on football, yes, its great that we have a wonderful team, but, academics are very important as well.=/.
ESOL students are not adequately supported. Administration needs to stop focusing so much on football and basketball and look into everyone's academic success.
My family moved to Northeast 6 months ago from the Lower Valley. We moved because my son wanted to attend Chapin HS. We heard about Chapin's excellence in academics and sports. My son was attending Del Valle HS. He has been an excellent student and a varsity football player. We found out that Chapin was academically more advanced in some areas, so my son had to study harder to continue in advance classes. He is very happy at Chapin and had made good friends at school. One thing I can not get used to is the fact that I receive Chapin information over the phone instead in writing; other thing is that I have not seen group of parents involved in sports. At Del Valle HS parents were very active with their children in sports. As newcomers I can not rate the school yet. So far we like it.
Discipline is hard to enforce specially in high school, never the less Chapin has tried to set high standard for the students. Chapin might not be the best school but definitely is one of the best I seen here in El Paso. My two kids are huskies by heart so that tells me Chapin is doing something right. I always believe our kids in many cases represent our administrator leaders and I see very fine Chapin students when I do my rounds at school. Let's not forget Chapin it's a magnet school and achieves for excellence. My kids understand Chapin is not an ordinary high school therefore working hard to exceed Chapin standards is very gratifying. A Proud Parent
My oldest is a Senior at Chapin and has gone there all 4 years in the Magnet program. We have been VERY pleased with the school as well as the Magnet program. My younger son is a sophomore and loves Chapin. My husband is in the military and the entire reason we've chosen to try and stay here for a few more years is solely because of Chapin and the positive influence we feel it has had on our children. I feel the leadership at Chapin is excellent and all teachers and other staff members have the students best interest in mind.
The building is beautiful. The education offered here is mediocre with a few notable exceptions. It's a place that kids go to spend the day, and if they make it through the day safely without any untoward event--that's about the best you can expect.
region 19 headstart has been so helpful. My daughters have come out of headstart at age five knowing how to read and write. It gave them both a headstart on kinder. I beleive has encouraged their learning and eagerness to attend school.
I was in Chapin thru out the years, 2000-to 2004 and thru my time there, i had the opportunity to increase my learning and skills. I also had the good fortune and chance to be taught by the best and Increase my attitudes towards school and people. I am proud, i attended this school for it will always be the best on its education and good standing morality. claudia malagon
