i know that thier are vacinnes for the flu as well as the h1n1 but even vaccines can fail and that makes the whole thing even scarier. we as parents have to protect our children and that means we need to be diligent about keeping an eye out for the signs that our kids may be sick and dont just assume that its the standard flu immunizations are suppose to help but there are many who have gotten sick even witht he flu shots, nothing is foalproff. it your child is showing signs of flu the child needs to be checked out and have the3 test ran this needs to be done for thier sake as well as the sake of the other members of our community. they claim it only takes 4 days to get results but i wouldnt count on it and the flu can incubate in the body for up to 10 days. if your child shows signs keep them home and have them checked before its to late.

This is a great school .The classes are not congested and more time is spent to help kids who need the extra help.However a lot is expected of parents in the learning process as well.Discipline is certainly a high priority for this school and I think that makes a huge difference in learning.You can rest assured that if you send you child to Elysian Fields schools they will learn to behave or receive the proper punishment.Education is important and is put first at this school,however they are regularly rewarded with Fun Friday's and AR (Reading) Parties.Since this is such a small school fundraisers play a big part in the extra stuff the school gets.They did a fundraiser for their new playground and new books and equipment for the library.Community involvement is fabulous.My only complaint is the way field trips are organized,a little lax in my opinion.

This elementary school is the best in our area. There are many extra-curricular sports for the children to become involved in, the teachers are good, the school is safe, the playground is new, there is parental involvement, the principal is very involved and even pitches in the cafeteria line when needed! That said, there are some negatives that everyone around here seems to agree with in hushed circles. Children are not allowed much freedom to talk amongst themselves during the day. At lunchtime, they are screamed at quite often for talking above a whisper. Punishment is often given in the form of loss of recess. This, I feel is a very necessary energy outlet for elementary children. Also, there is no real music class offered in this school, nor are there any special education classes if your child would require them, but this is a small town school. Grade: B+
