Harmony is an up in coming school with a bright future. The school specializes in math and science and offers after school programs for students who enjoy those subjects. Let me say this, Harmony is not perfect. A lot of parents send their children to Harmony expecting an immediate change in the behavior and academics. For a few yes, but for most no. Harmony is not an alternative school and should be looked at as a higher educational institution. If you feel your child can learn in a more challenging environment, send them to Harmony. If they struggle with behavior/academics, I would advise not sending them to this school. Second, if your child is severe ESL or has a learning disability I would highly recommend keeping them in a public school. Because Harmony is a Charter School, the school lacks teachers and supplies due to the minimum funding from the state. Public schools will offer more for those children to be successful. Lastly, for the school to be successful the parents need to be more involved. Help with after school activities and join PTO! If you have questions, email the teachers and administration. Harmony needs parent involvement to be successful! Be involved!

I used to love this school but unfortunatly I discover that the kids is the less important for them because they don't belive them when they complain about a teacher been so awful, and as I always said 5 kids can lie but 30 I don't think so. My son is not came back next year.

I love this school! The only complaint I have Is the administration does not hold kids accountable as far as disipline goes. Teachers are very passive on major issues and super strict on things I feel aren't as big of an issue. I love all the teachers my daughter has this year, as does my daughter. She is making great grades and need minimal instruction from me to do her work! She always says her teachers are great so she doesn't need help. The diversity at this school is great! My daughter has friends of all different backgrounds which is nice! I always receive quick responses to my emails with answers or solutions to my problems. I drive from Mansfield for my child to attend this school. She has been at harmony for 3 years, she has said she would never go back to a public school! I hope as the school grows they can get a better grasp on disipline and holding children accountable (not just DPS points)

Unfortunately, This school is like a prison, especially the middle school and high school. There are too many students and too many Turkish teachers. These Turkish teachers are too strict and do not have the student's best interest at heart. The students look so depressed and demoralized every day. I do not recommend this school at all. Stay away from this place.

This school is probably one of the worst I have ever been to. Too many students and not enough teachers or space. Very disappointed in how the administration treated me during my time there. I loved the kids and the diversity and the other teachers that I worked with but the administration needs to be replaced before they replace quality teachers.

When my kids first went to this school we really did enjoy the different culture and the way they handled the school academics, extracurricular activities then we left and came back to the school boy this was a mistake the second time around!!! This school does not like to communicate with the parents due to the online app with their email attached. Once your child walks through the door they put all the pressure on them. They depend on the students to bring all information home no filter or no knowledge on homework assignments. Their points system is failing a lot of students because they only give them DPS points if they do not act like the student they need to be. If a student is in need of help the teacher does not assist them the teachers make other students responsible. The teachers do not help the students or teach them their subject. They do not want other students to help their peers because the teachers are supposed to teach them, so that student gets in trouble for helping. They have a certain teacher teaching a foreign language which is not their native language but their third language (if true).

Coming to this school was the WORST mistake of our life! This is school is unorganized. It's about the money not parents time, No communication, no parent involvement. once your kids go past those double doors there no longer yours.! The teachers and staff will NOT CALL you back only email if you want a response. They teach your children Islam religion ways and vocabulary words? Like said before by others --my kids hate it here, they are outcast them and have favorites. Academic wise it's ok. But is that worth your children's faith??? And emotional feelings? My kids will NOT be attending here next year and I will NEVER encourage anyone else to go thru what we have gone thru.

Very organized, wish they hada bigger play ground. Nurse Tatum rocks! Front Desk attentive Teachers very accountable and responsible for elementary. School always trying to engage students in extra credits.

I attentded this school last year. And all I can it wasn't all that great. First off I was sent home for ''sagging'' when my shorts were perfectly on my waist with a belt. The only reason it did look like that was because I had to wear my older brother's shorts since I get hand me downs. Anyways It was hard making friends here . Most of the kids are muslim, which I have no problem with but they left me out most of the time. This school was depressing and I felt as if I was alone here. The education is great! Barley any sports but academic wise the school was awesome!

Terribly unorganized, questionable safety & security and way too many kids in a very, very limited space. 26-28 kids per classroom in a very small building where there should be no more than 16 kids in a classroom as it was before. Already looking for new school.

No flexibility, No communication, No care, No organization! If you plan to put you children into this school, I am convinced that you will regret it. This school is crazy. Teachers and administrators have favoritism toward white children and Turkish. The drop-off and pick-up system always make parents mad. I had to be at the drive-through way on 1:30pm to pick up my child in time. Most teachers are not qualified with teaching students. Most of them are novices. Your children will not be able to get anything from the worst teachers.

My son was going to Harmony in 3rd grade . But we have some emergency .I have medical condition like that doctors wont allow me to drive.But I love this school . Teachers specially the special education teacher she is so wonderful my son learned a lot in first 4 weeks that he did not learn in last whole year.People at the front desk they are so helpful that make me so hard to leave this school .I love this school .I will go again if I will be able.

Daughter and son attended for 3 years. We echo many of the previous reviews, both positive and negative. The best teachers don't stay. Kids are in Arlington schools this year and seem prepared for their classes, so that says something about the instruction they received. On the whole, there were just too many negatives to continue at HSA-Euless. During the 2013 science fair, we made a list of all of the things that annoyed/perplexed us: 1) Magnet classes were canceled during the first few weeks of the fall 2012 semester. 2) Disorganization. Kids had wrong schedules for the first 4-5 weeks of school in Fall 2012. 3) They require expensive uniforms that you can only buy from HSA, but they never have enough. For two years, my son made do with 2 shirts each year. 4) Idiots in the parking lot. Very unsafe. Lack of safety procedures in parking lot. 5) Irrational adherence to dress code. 6) Poor language skills of Turkish teachers. 7) Administrators are not responsive. 8) Teachers let students turn in way too much late work. 9) Grade inflation - daughter should not get 100 on every assignment. 10) Mystery of Turkish influence (see 60 Minutes story for a start). 11) High teacher turnover.

Student teacher ratio was actually worse than a public school they were not well established and made up DUMB rules as they went. Harmony was a huge mistake. The food was horrible my kid is in 6th grade and this year they have way more students and decided we have to pick up our kids like they were in pre-k with a paper with their name on. One at a time the traffic in that place is ridiculous. For that and many reasons more I choose to transfer my daughter to HEB which has turned out to be so, oh, so much better.

This school is slow and unorganized. Too many people. The cafeteria is packed. The hallways are packed. Two years ago there was more space to walk around. Last year there were good teachers and now most of the good teachers are gone and replaced with ones that aren't so good. Horrible just horrible.

About the tests


In 2012-2013, the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) was used to test students in reading and math in grades 3 through 8; in writing in grades 4 and 7; in science in grades 5 and 8; in social studies in grade 8; and end-of-course assessments for English I, II, and II, Algebra I and II, biology and US History. STAAR is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Texas. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
