This is an awesome school with a great curriculum for student. They really challenge students to learn but this is done in a interesting approach to keep the students' attention. My boys and I moved here last summer and this was their first school in Tx. The staff and students were so welcoming to my children. I've never met staff so caring about my boys education. Even when my one son was rebellious to the move, they really helped and showed me they were about his education first. I love this school and I really pray I'm able to find a middle school as great as South Euless.

Very low parent involvement, under-qualified teachers, and very poor leadership. If school was so "great" as others want you to assume then it should be noted as a "National Blue Ribbon" school. Where's that rating if academics is so supurb? Curriculum is very low and that says alot. If you want your child to be great and not okay I suggest another school. Check out the feeder to this school, Euless Junior High and that should say alot.

I am a long time parent at South Euless. I am proud of our Exemplary status, as well as, our school being in the TOP 2 % in TEXAS. The below comments concern me. If you have an issue this "bad" it would seem that you would handle it in house. I cannot stand by silent. There is no way our school to have the above stats they do that we would have an admin that could not communicate with us as parents. Same as the teachers...We would not have the stats above if the teachers were not held accountable for EVERYTHING they do and say in and out of the classroom. Stats do not lie. VERY proud to be South Euless parent and very proud my son is a South Euless student.

We are new to the district and school. I will say by far, these teachers are the BEST we've experienced and I hate that we were not in the district earlier especially at this school. The 6th grade teachers are fantastic and that explains why the Exemplary status, its the Teachers and the students perform better due to better instruction. We came from Arlington school district and Irving so this has been a GREAT experience for us and I wish we were in district when my son started school in kindergarten. I am a very proud new parent to this school and district.

I would appreciate the office staff & principal being more understanding & knowledgeable. The principal gets upset & takes everything as a personal jab against him. The office staff tells the parents they don't know the answer. This gets very tiresome. Parents that don't ask questions that could hurt the principal's feelings are the only ones that are made to feel welcome in this school.

My daughter has been going to South Euless for the past 4 yrs. She loves the school, teacher, office staff. As for me not so much when it comes to children with special health needs. Such as asthma, food allergies. They are very defensive when they are called out on situations. The principal takes everything personal and is just very unprofessional. I'm so glad that this is my daughters last year. I think we will send her back to private school just to avoid Euless I.S.D! If anyone would ask me if I would recommend this school. I would not!!!

We researched areas and school thoroughly before choosing exemplary rated South Euless. Aesthetically, the school is well kept and tucked away in a tree lined residential neighborhood with lots of character. The Principal and teachers have amazed me with how much effort they put into being avilable to the needs of the students and parents. They truely go above and beyond! They have a system in place that flows with ease and I feel a sense of comfort every day that I drop my son off. The education they receive here is top notch! My son has homework everynight that challenges him, and I can see the progress he is making everyday he comes home. I feel the school is very ahead of the game in every aspect. I honestly can't begin to say enough about South Euless. I love the heavy emphasis they put on reading. My 1st grader has a minimum of 20 minutes of reading required every night and much more! I will wrap up by saying, there is no wonder this school has been top ranked for so many years and remains one of the best in the distrct. I feel very lucky to have found such a great school! What has happened to the idea of the staff knowing the answers to the questions that we as parents ask? We ask a simple question and the answer is either "I don't know" or "I'm not sure" which is getting tiresome! What happened to the secretary that knew the answers and was friendly to the parents? We could always count on her to know the answers and smile when she talked to us unlike the rude and unknowledgeable stones that are there now wasting our time and money.

The teachers and staff are absolutely wonderful! They are very helpful and concerned about each child as an individual. I am grateful that my daughter is a part of a school with such caring teachers towards their students.

My children are learning and having fun at the same time. The teachers are teaching life skills, which is making learning meaningful.

I love this school .The principle, the teachers and the cafetria ladies are all excellent and I appreciate what their doing for our kids. The thing that I don't understand is why the two front ladies are so rude with parents. They are supposedto be the front cover of the school. They have no manners especially the one with black hair .We are not begging them ,we are just asking them in a nice way to do their job.Is it that hard to speak with a parent in a nice smiley face for two minutes. They are really a bad impression of the school.

I have been very lucky to have had some wonderful teachers who have gone above and beyond to help with identifying my son's ADD/Dyslexia problems. Mrs.Edmonds, Karim, Black, Cranford and Moore all get an A++!! They sincerely do care about my son and our educational frustrations. Both my son and I are very familiar with most teachers @ SEE....they do work as a team and are all willing to help in any way possible. (P.S. The office staff could use some classes in customer service...they do not give a good impression on what the school really is all about at all! -- I love the SEE teachers and staff!)

I love the school but the two women at the front desk are so rude. I went to get my child from school for an appt and was told that I had to go find which class my child was in for Fine Arts. They couldn't even call three classes to see if my child was in there! They need to have training in manners!

I think the principal could be more accesible. My son studied first grade last year, but not too much homework. At last, the substitute teacher, Miss Buffy, doing excellent. Please be more nice at the front desk, the secretary is so rude some time.

The current principle has taken away some of the 'fun' activities such as the annual talent show, etc. The previous principle seemed to be more visual and excited about the school, the teachers, and the kids. The teachers are great for the majority with several in different grades that are phenomenal.

I have kids in this school, the teachers work hard and doing them best to improve the education. The staff are great. The school is great , but i hope the parents get more nice treat[ment] by the front desk personnel.

Texas uses Accountability Ratings to indicate the overall performance of each school and district. The ratings are based on TAKS test results, dropout rates for grades 7 and 8 and school completion rates for grades 9 through 12. Schools and districts rated under standard accountability procedures are designated as Exemplary, Recognized, Academically Acceptable or Academically Unacceptable. Schools and districts rated under alternative education accountability (AEA) procedures are designated as either AEA: Academically Acceptable or AEA: Academically Unacceptable.
