I love this school. All of my children have attended Hommel. The staff are wonderful to the children.

I believe this school is an awsome school, the teachers are very personable and work hard to teach are children. My kids are honor roll students and I am very proud of them and thankful that they have teacher that care. The school needs more parents to get involved in the PTO, to help make the best decisions for the kids. The PTO Executive Board is looking for parents that want to get involved. Please contact the Principle, Ms. Kotula.

I really like the teachers at Hommel, especially Ms. Foster. She is a good teacher with a kind heart. My Daughter really loves her. The staff at this school are friendly and have great repore with the kids.

In 2010-2011, the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was used to test students in reading in grades 3 through 9; in writing in grades 4 and 7; in English language arts in grades 10 and 11; in mathematics in grades 3 through 11; in science in grades 5, 8, 10 and 11; and in social studies in grades 8, 10 and 11. TAKS is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Texas. The grade 11 Exit Level TAKS is a high school graduation requirement. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
