Forestwood Middle School is a hidden gem of a school. Underappreciated. Their most recent TAKS scores were the highest in the district for a middle school. The school is not as overcrowded as some of the others and the teachers and administration take a sincere interest in the success of each student. The whole staff works together as a team to help the kids acheive. The principal is friendly and is omnipresent at every school event, daylight to dark. The building was recently updated and looks great. The student body is busy and engaged. The orchestra program is absolutely phenomenal. The orchestra director is challenging, but so much fun and the kids all love it. She takes up so much time getting to know each student and helping them not only with music, but navigating the choppy waters of middle school. The program is growing every year because the kids tell their friends. At contests, they get judges' comments like, "Sound like a high school orchestra" or "The best group we have heard all day". If your child has an interest in music, you won't find a better wprogram than the orchestra dept. at Forestwood Middle School in Flower Mound. We have been thrilled with this school.

I'm a student here at Forestwood. Its an okay school, I think the only reasons I go is first because of the Orchastra teacher. She is beyond supportive and one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. She is also the best teacher I've ever had in teaching wise. The 6th grade math teachers are wonderful (Mr. Swartz is my favorite) but in both 7th and 8th the math teachers fail. I give the teacher rating a 3, it would be a 1 if my orchastra teacher and my 6th grade math teacher didnt teach. I currently have 2 low C's, but that may just be me. Its a good school for the area. For sure!

Great school except for 8th grade math teachers. They've been here a long time and really can't teach. I've yet to hear a positive comment from a parent about them.

wow!!! this school is amazing!!!! I have only attended this school for one year and so far, i have enjoyed every minute of it!!! Especially the Friday Night Live on fridays at 7-11 pm, is a very exciting feature to this school. It gives us kids to experience what living really is!!! everyone enjoys this school, and it compares to none other. Your children would love you forever if they had the chance to attend Forestwood Middle school!!! :)

This school is awesome!! It has an amazing music department and the L.E.A.P. teacher is amazing, one of the best. And the mah teacher is awesome! Teachers here go above and beyond to give students like me a better education than other schools. Schools like this set examples to the others, and are rare to come by.

I worked for this school and it was the best job I ever had! The only reason I am not still there is because I went from an aide to a teacher and there were no positions for me. The principal and AP's are very supportive and helpful. They know the students by name - All of them!!! The teachers are great and work well as teams. The students were happy and engaged in the school. It was a great experience and I will miss it very much!

My son started sixth grade at Forestwood, and absolutely loves it. The teachers, staff, and principals are all involved deeply in these kids' lives. I am highly impressed!

I've had three children go through Forestwood. Great experience on all three counts. They were very prepared for high school..Wonderful teachers, administrators and coaches. Music department is the best. I've never had a complaint or problem, just happy kids who love school.
