From the teachers and staff to the huge amount of volunteers, Forest Vista is full of positive/caring people (some who have been there for many years) who go out of their way for our kiddos and who love what they do.
My daughter attended FVE from K-5. We have always had a great experience there. The teachers are dedicated and go above and beyond for the students. I was most impressed when Dr. Schott came to the school as principal. Every morning he would be outside, rain or shine, opening car doors to make sure the students got safely inside. He is also always in the hall saying hello to students and parents, not behind his desk with the door closed. Now, how many principals do that? My daughter also had an a exceptionally great 5th grade year and made an easy transition to middle school. We continue to enjoy FVE now that my son is there.
I had two children attend FVE - and had wonderful experiences! We were involved in everything from LEAP to chime choir - and they thoroughly enjoyed it all! All classroom learning was exceptional. They also have a wonderful PTA and volunteer base.
We moved here two and a half years ago from another state and It was very difficult for my daughter to make the transition. We are very happy with Forest Vista's staff and student body. Both my daughters are doing well.
The students, parents, teachers, and administrators all work together to achieve excellence. The faculty has very little turnover and look forward to coming to work each and every day. The specials teachers are outstanding and develop a love of the arts in every child from kindergarten through fifth grade. Numerous parent volunteers help keep our school running smoothly. Forest Vista is an outstanding place to work and learn!
the principal and front office are very nice. teachers very slow to warm up. the school is great academically, but not a lot offered for the working parent.
Principal and Assistant Principal are professional and very friendly but the front office personnel is the most unfriendly group of people. Academics are Excellent. I just have noticed lately that a kindergarten teacher has a favorite student, maybe that child needs extra attention, but it is obvious that the teacher is extra special with that kid.
We got a new principal last year and he has been great. There's now a balance of teacher and parent voices. We have been at FV since 2001 and have been very blessed to have teachers who care. My son also has Special Ed. and FV has a great team of teachers who are dedicated to their jobs and to the students who need special services. There are always good points and bad points but the good outweigh the bad.
All three of my children have attended Forest Vista and have like the teachers, staff and PTA. Great building design and condition. Great dedicated teachers.
Love this school and so do my kids. There's not much turnover in the faculty because the principle is supportive of them. All the teachers we have had are willing to work with us to provide the best education for our kids. The specials teachers are great and my kids can tell you about different artists, drama terms and concepts and music. Good all around education. We'll miss this school when the kids go on to mid-school.
