This school review is mixed, the reason being it provides different results for different students. It is at best a good school for weak students, but a terrible school for very bright high achieving students. Another reason this rates poorly is the quality of the fundamental education, core subjects like Mathematics require a solid foundation. This is lacking, therefore students go without understanding the core of how to solve problems which is used in future grades and in life in general. I will upload hundreds and hundreds of blank pages from their text books at year end. This is because during the year the teachers failed to complete their syllabi on time and hurried their instruction at the end. How in the world will students learn then? Lastly as I said before , this school helps weak and average students get enough to progress, weighing down on high achievers forcefully rendering them also in the average bucket. After all these are the days of 'everyone is a winner' policy. But in a thriving competitive environment which these kids will definitely encounter in their future this experience will leave them gasping for air and utterly incapable of competing.
Well let me start by saying my daughter attended Bluebonnet from K-2 grade. While she overall had a good experience she was often left bored and unchallenged. Some teachers were great about pushing her and giving harder work but as she got older that stopped. She told me that her teacher was spending so much time on a few students that were struggling in behavior that she was left to keep herself busy. I also saw this first hand in how it was being handled by the teacher. She complained so much about being bored that I switched her in 3rd grade to a college prep school and she is thriving. We have known at least 5 families that have left Blubonnet for a similar reason for a similar school. My only regret is not starting her there in kinder. Her experience was pleasant at BB but if your child is wanting more than status quo and extend further knowledge then it might not be the right fit from my experience.
This school needs help. The students are getting a good education there but outside of that is another story. Visit the school yourself. The front office has issues with being rude and it trickles down from there. I am still hearing new disturbing things from my child's experience there. After talking with many parents I have come to the conclusion that the school used to be a much better experience.
