As a member of several committees for this school over the past several years (District and Campus Improvement Committees, School Health Advisory Committee, etc), I have seen first hand the amount of emphasis that is put on staying up with scientifically researched instructional techniques. The new CSCOPE training, the newest in technology (SMART boards, Interwrite tablets, software, wonderful web page w/ parent notification systems for grades, attendance, cafeteria charges), and so on are all examples of the constant push for excellence. Good job FISD!

There are a lot of hidden problems in this school. Even though it has some great qualities, it also has some great problems. The children are taught the same old way that children were taught years ago, even though there are new educational ideas in the world. The teachers are very social and spend more time socializing than teaching.

My children attended this school for several years. The school administration was not concerned with my children's welfare or education. The main priority I saw was conformity to their rules. No one ever answered questions, many threats were given in subtle ways to my children and I. We had to move due to the bullying done by the administration and its impact on my children.

This place is the greatest. The teachers are fair and gentle, yet firm and realistic. This school is among the greatest in the state. If you have to go to public schools, this should be your first choice.
