My child's first grade teacher was not very good. My child did not learn how to do addition or subtraction during the year.

I am extremely involved in my children's education. I volunteer and spend a great deal of time at the school. Mrs. Brooks, our principal, has gone above and beyond with regards to my children and their academic needs. The teachers work together as a wonderful team and the supporting class teachers are all remarkable. I would highly recommend Remington Point to anyone looking for a school. We could always use more volunteers. :o)

We did an in-district transfer to this school after having a bad experience at my child's previous school down the road. I can't tell you what a breath of fresh air Remington Point is!! A wonderful atmosphere, friendly teachers, extremely happy kiddos! My son has an amazing 1st grade teacher who cares deeply about her class. The 'specials' teachers are great, office staff is friendly and helpful. My only complaint so far is the after school traffic, which every school has. This school is located on a pretty busy 2 lane road. Morning drop off is congested, but easy to get through. Afternoon pick up is more of a mess with parents who leave their cars unattended, when they are not supposed to. A kink I'm hoping will work itself out as the year goes on :) Overall, a GREAT SCHOOL!

This school only teaches the TASK test - that is it! EMSISD is one of the worst places to put your kid. We moved to Keller and love it.

We had gone to this school for three years. My son a straight A student was scared to death about the TAKS test due to the pressure the teachers put on them. The PTA is a social club and if you don't fit in forget about it. The teachers in whole are great, the fine arts teacher is awesome. A few teachers don't care about the kids as much as others. They do have the best Kindergarten teacher in the world though Mrs. Childs rocks..

We have three children attending Remington Pt. Elem. and I have nothing but praise for the standard of excellence they set and live up to, from the principal on down. Every teacher our kids have had has been the very best! We love them every one!

I came from another district four years ago and it was supposed to be the biggest and best. More like the worst. Mrs. Jackson rocks! Anyone who can work with 800 children and keep their sanity and do it with a smile has my vote. If these parents were to get involved in the school, attend meetings volunteer any time or simply take a few moments to check in on the fine arts teacher or any of the classrooms they would see learning in progress and children truly enjoying being at Remington.

I have 2 children in the district, we have been at 3 elementary schools and Remington Point is by far the best. My child has been at Remington Point for 4 years since it opened and it is the best school we have been involved in. Compared to the other schools, the art/music program is outstanding. My child has been exposed to many different types of art in class, as well as being part of 4 of the best programs put on anywhere in the district. Mrs. Brooks is a fabulous principal. She goes above and beyond to support her teachers and parents while keeping what is best for the child in mind. She has high expectations for teachers, staff and students. They work hard to achieve the high standards that are set. Their 2year Recognized Rating on TAKS Test shows this.

I am extremely disappointed in the fine arts program at Remington Point Elementary. All they seem to do are musicals and very little actual art or music. They are missing out on the academic benefits a good art and music program provides to early learners.

This being our third year at Remington Point, I feel I have a good grasp on the school. I am involved in volunteering at the school and see first hand some things that go on there. We have a great staff for the most part. The leadership at the school is the best. Mrs. Brooks lives and breathes Remington Point. The children and their well being are always at the top of her goals. The volunteer staff here is awesome. So many parents wanting to be involved in any way possible. The students enjoy coming to school most of the time. The curriculum is a little too tough, but maybe that's what the kids need. My biggest complaint is the parking lot size. It is very dangerous dropping off and picking up your students. The school size is just too small for the volume. Thank you.

Remington Point is a great school overall. The teacher's we've been associated with (through our children), have been FANTASTIC. We've experienced K, 1, 4, and 5th grades. You will NOT find a better Art/Drama teacher. She is so gifted in both her ability to teach art and bring out the talent of these young students. The plays that she has the students perform are top notch. Not sure if we're allowed to post names...but she has been there since 'day one' of the schools opening. Be sure to register your child early...it is at max capacity!

My son is in kindergarten and he has learned so much this year. His teacher is wonderful to him and always makes time to speak with me if I have concerns. I loved the musicals this year. The fine arts teacher is great. My son loves school and with this school it's easy to see why!

I am very pleased with my child's education in Language Arts with the exception of writing, which they seem to overlook somewhat. I am reasonably pleased with Social Studies and Science. Math seems to be the most lacking, with more training for teachers needed for meeting all student needs and differentiating tasks for lower level and upper level learners. I am very pleased with art, physical education, and the extensive library. I was also thrilled with the music/theater they've done. There are school-wide notes sent out when needed, but I would like to see weekly classroom newsletters, as in my child's last school, so that I know what is happening. Discipline is very good, with the classes being busy but controlled, and the children respectful.

My kid went here and he had dyslexia, but they didn't catch it until the end of his year here. He had already had first grade in another school and then came here, so I thought they should have been looking for it and found out earlier. I did not like the way the 5th grade changed classes. My 3rd grade daughter had a great teacher.

Remington Point is an excellent school for both academic programs and extracurricular activities and will keep parents involved to the fullest.

Remington Point is a great school. I have twin Kindergarten boys that have had a great year. Both teachers, though very different, have given my kids the love and education they needed for this year. I just attended thier Musical, and it was fantastic. What the fine arts department has done is excellent. I do believe there are parents that believe the envolvement could be more substantial.

Overall it is a great school. it's a smaller school with teachers who care. There are some bad apples in way of teachers but the majority of the teachers take time to really care what the students needs are, the staff is friendly and caring with both students and parents. It is a school with the students education in the front thoughts and will do its best to get the parents involved and keep them involved.
