This school has serious issues with leadership, management, and administration. One of the principal's in the daughter of the owner and is truly unqualified. The new principal claims to be an advocate for teachers and that is simply not true. Witch hunts are a daily occurance in this environment. Parental support is nominal, and staff morale is extremely low. The few good teachers they had have left. Very sad.

My child's teacher has been with this school for over 10 years, and she takes extra strides to educated my child and her classamates. These teachers care about the children RETAINING the information taught. That's awesome in my book.

I honestly feel as if administration members of EFWMA are writing these "wonderful" reviews. As a parent, I am far from satisfied by both the administration and the education that efwma serves. Its a JOKE. They keep bragging about how they are an exemplary school- look up the statistics. My daughter was a straight A student before she came to this school. Her grades have dropped drastically. She comes home complaining that she learns very little and the teacher doesn't take the time to explain the information when she asks. I have to reteach everything when she comes home. I use to very rarely do that because she never needed it. Aside from that, I have never in my life dealt with such rude, careless and disorganized administration.

My grandchildren attended EFWMA in ther Pk through 1st grade before they moved to Austin. They were accepted into an Austin charter school and teachers were amazed at how much they new. Immediately they began asking "what school did you attend"? Not only were they excelling in their acaddemics but also their knowledge of the environment and how to care, their manners, ettiquette, social skills and love for the arts. They both play a musical instrument, draw and create art that amazes their art teachers. They are now both attending a college prep middle school where their grades are excellent. I bought them a kindal because there was no more room on thier shelve for books. When they come into town, they always want to visit the school. Thank you EFWMA staff for preparing my grandkids and giving them a great start.

EFWMA is a wonderfully nurturing environment for children to learn. My child is in his second year of Pre-K and is starting to read. He comes home every day with stories of what he learned that day not who he played with as he did prior to EFWMA. The teachers he comes in contact with dayly and/or weekly encourage him to do his best and he does. The Outdoor Living classes that bring math and science to life, he loves. Although, at times, the administration does seem a little unorganized, they truly have the best interest of the children at heart.

I really don't understand how a school as wonderful as EFWMA can have such bad reviews but ou experience has been absolutely different. The Director has a Vision and she is always working towards achieving a better education for our children. I started attending the ESL adult program while I was pregnant of y child and I fell inlove with the school that when the time came for my son I apply and fortunately we earn a spot for him. He is very happy at EFWMA, the teachers are accesible and the staff is always nice. I know by experience they take bullying and beahvior problems seriously. I am PROUDLY an EFWMA but the best proof is my 4yr old son. He is already starting to read and very enthusiastic about school!

I LOVE EAST FORT WORTH MONTESSORI SCHOOL!!! The Montessori enviroment is great for a child development, the quality of education this school provides has no price. The Director is a very commited person to her goal of bringing Montessori to every child regarless of their economic position and a type of education that is mostly reserved for wealthy people is available to all through this charter school, we really need more schools like EFWMA in our community. The children here are very happy and learn in a very stimulating classroom, they develope independence, responsability and discipline. The teachers receive a lot of training and we as parents are also involved in the proccess, they teach us about the Montessori method and how to use it at home. This is the best education you can get in this area, I am so fortunate that my child attends to EFWMA. He gets an excellent attention, has started to read even though he is in Pre-K, the outdoor learning and the materials they use in classroom is very stimulating for these little minds. This is the best school in the area :) Thank You Mrs. Brown for bringing this to our children, we hope you can expand the school through higher grades.

As a former teacher at this school, I can honestly say that ratings are low because students are not being properly instructed in academics. Further, absolutely no accountability exists for students with behavior issues. And there are plenty of students with extreme behavior issues at this school. Administration is a joke and highly unorganized. Students learn from the adults around them. Unfortunately, the adults around these students are often undertrained, undereducated, or simply not experienced enough to run a school. Teachers are unhappy and looking for other jobs. It is sad that parents are being fooled into thinking their students are getting a great education--when it is mediocre at best. Hence the great schools rating of "4."

I could write a review based on my experiences, however my children's point of view would be much better! My daughters speak of their experiences daily! They are very eager to learn and make GOOD GRADES! The academics are rigorous and they keep them busy. They love to care for the many school animals and enjoy the their time in the outdoor learning environment. We could not have been afforded a better "free" education. I also had a son enrolled here and he is doing very well in 7th grade in a FWISD school. If he had his way he would still be at EFWMA! The teaching staff are Montessori Certified, as well as, State Certified. I have never had a problem or question left unresolved! The school Director has a vision and she is constantly working towards making the school better for the children enrolled. I'M A VERY PROUD EFWMA PARENT!

This was the worst educational experience we've encountered. Unfortunately we gave them a second try and my son attended for 2 years. Half-way through the 1st year we learned his teacher was not Montessori certified. The 2nd year he was stabbed in the leg with a pencil, got a black eye and more...and being one of the few caucasians enrolled, he was constanly bullied. We asked the principal and staff for help to no avail. They gave minimal support and did not follow through with communication. The teachers are not organized and obviously are not controlling the students. When we enrolled in public school this year he scored low, although he was given high marks at EFWMA. If you want your child to grow and learn in a positive environment, do not send him to EFWMA.

I think that this is a wonderful school and I know that the employees work very hard to make sure that my child is successful. My child's teacher has her state certification and her Montessori certification. I always feel welcome here.

My wife and I just took a tour of this school and I am very impressed. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The school was recommended to me by my neighbors and they are very satisfied with the school.

My child attends the PreK campus at the Stop Six Diddley Center. I love the staff. It's a great Montessori education.

I cannot say enough good things about this school. As a parent, I certainly have a voice here. When you walk down the halls you hear happy children. The Montessori philosophy was new to me but the staff members know what they are doing and my four year old was reading the first semester. Truly amazing!

After home schooling our son we looked long and hard for a school. Small class sizes. Tutors when needed. They even do Saturday school. I think the teachers go the extra mile to make sure my son succeeds. I wish they would add a middle school. I think that if more parents would participate in the PTO functions the school would offer more programs.

This school is a complete mess. Administration is disorganized and my childs teachers seem stressed. We won't be back next year. Very sad.

I am extremely unsatisfied with this school. The administration lacks communication and they are not truly a Montessori school. Most teachers don't have their Montessori certification so basically it's false advertisment. The PTO meetings are highly unorganized and lack significance.

This is my son's first year at this school. He is very shy and was apprehensive about starting Kindergarten. He absolutely loves his teacher. We were lucky to have found such a warm and caring environment.

This is a wonderful small school where students are encouraged to become independent and to take ownership in their learning. Class sizes are small and the uniform policy allows the focus to be on education and not who is wearing what. Teachers are highly trained and many possess advanced degrees.

My wife teachers at this school and she enjoys the low teacher/student ratios it affords. Teachers are highly trained and class size is small. This K-5 school is considering adding another grade. I think that would be great!
