Although this school has some excellent teachers ....they can always use more. There is always room for improvement when it comes to schools

In my opinion, the prior review of Crowley Middle School is not accurate. My child attends this school and although the numbers are high, the teachers are great and are really holding it together under the conditions. Next year, the school will split into another middle school which will relieve the numbers that are currently there. It doesn't matter what it is a school or business, there are always going to be employees that are not up to the standards everyone wants. CMS and their staff have done a great job holding it together with over 1200 students until the new middle school could be built. A success of a school can greatly be seen in the support of the parents. We as parents need to give the schools the support they need to discipline and teach.

I have a son in 8th grade and for what he tells me, discipline is horrible, kids pretty much can do whatever they want and teachers won t stop to address the issues. Instead, teachers try to be cool and be friends to the kids by being as disrespectful and unprofessional as the kids them selves. He tells stories that are so bad that I can't even describe on this site. As far as academics, CMS is below average. If parents don t get involved and stay on top of things, teachers would not take the initiative to get an underperformer kid up to standards. They only do it upon request.

I'm in the 8th grade at CMS and I had the best year last year. So far this year has been awesome as well. My teachers last year all perpared me for the TAKS and when it came time I knew everything I needed to know. The athletics are probably the best thing the school has to offer. The male coaches are great and forceful when it comes to behaving. The female coaches are kind and very non-tolerant of many things. Together they coach the best volleyball, football, basketball and track teams ever! The main problem CMS faces is the amount of kids and limited space. There are way to many kids in the hallways at passing periods, and that makes kids late to class.(which they then get in trouble for)The food in the cafetira is certainly edible and some is quite tasty if i might say. Go Panthers! Go Panthers! Go Panthers!

My daughter just got finished with 2 years at CMS. The teachers are below average and I can tell you she will not be prepared for 9th grade. They need to get administrators in the there that the kids respect. The only adults they respect are the male coaches, who are fabulous! (Coach B, is the best!) She never came home with homework and never read at home. ***I will say she loved it and had a lot of great friends, from all races.

This school has teachers with great personalities, plenty of extra-curricular activities. Their band is excellent. However, the district blocks off websites that are wanted for education. The discipline is lacking due to the restriction they have made. Also, this school is made cheaply, it has no structure and the equipment used is also cheap. Other than this, this school is great. Lots of the students are friendly, there is one councilor who always wants to help. Plus, you will find friends who will watch your back!

The staff at this school tries thier hardest in the situation provided. The shear number of students that the district has allowed to mount at this school has pushed general and special education class size to uneffective levels. The biggest thing for parents with students at this school could to be envolved and incourage others to as well.

We have been over all happy with CMS, the teachers in my sons group are great and his experience in athletics was good. The school staff are very helpful. The only complaint would be the over crowding which leads to fights and bullying. All the teachers should be out during passing periods to help keep order and to make sure there is no bullying going on. From what my son says about half the teachers are outside their doors during passing periods.

This school as its reputation has a great academic record and atheletic record. I have 2 sons that attend. Although I have notices how overwhelmed the principle seems. The female vice principle great. Whenever I need help on something that I had been waiting weeks for, she handle it immediately. This school is a little disorganized at times. I have also had a few conversations and meetings with the counselor regarding what was best for my child learning evviroment and she seems not only overwhelmed also but also uninterested in the individual needs of a child. She appears to be bias and judgemental. It was not until I had my second child to begin at this school that could even tell you thier names. My hope is that a child that has ADD at this school will be recognized as a child with different learning capabilities.

The staff seems dedicated. The principal is very visible on campus. There are just too many kids in one school. There should be better communication with parents like flyers about events. The areas where the kids walk home needs more police patrol. The parents who are speeding are forgetting they are our children who are walking.

I thought it was a pretty good school. some of the people got out of control and i felt like the administarters could have prevented fights better. other than that i thought all the teachers were great and so was the staff.

This school great when it comes to offering students a wide selection of activities. The faculty and staff work hard to adjust in such a fast grow school.

Crowley Middle School has grown too fast and there is a huge discipline problem. Teachers are doing their best, but spend most of their classroom time dealing with discipline.
