The quality of education has been diminished ever since new administrations took over. Crowley ISD is going down slowly in general but Oakmont is the worst. Many good teachers have left for other schools. The only pearl left is an excellent gifted program and a responsible Eagle teacher. Take your kids and run away if they are not in the Eagle.

The academics are great. The teachers teach what they're supposed to and they care about the students. they have a wonderful music and art program and the parents are very involved. Many are on the PTA.

Our daughter has greatly benefited from the quality and structure of the academic programs at Oakmont. She is in Mrs. Blount's kindergarten class and has developed a real feel for the program through the encouragement and guidance from her teacher. We are also very excited about the progress and interest our daughter has in learning about science and math. Mrs. Blount really cares about the kids and our daughter is a great example of that dedication. We couldn't be more pleased with the school from the friendly and helpful front office personel to of course our great teacher, Mrs. Blount.

There are many excellent teachers in the school who care about students. However, school administrators are no longer pay attention to individual student or try to understand each student by talking to teachers or parents. If student made a mistake, school adminstrators likely emphasize punishment than education. I have one graduated from this school and another is currently in the school. To me as a parent, the administration changes during the past two years have resulted in an obvious switch in educational philosophy. Now, I can't trust this school to provide a right guidance, good morality and a social value to my kid.

I loved this school. I was able to feel safe and protected here. The teachers and admin. really impressed me by the way they maintained control of the school. Oakmont is a wonderful place to learn in a fun and safe environment.
