Amazing experience at McLean the principle was strict but only because because he wanted us to succeed, great teachers and awesome of activities like theater and band. I went here for a 7 grade it was an amazing experience.
I was hoping that at some time in my sons school career he would not be bullied but it still happens...He has also had 2 cell phones stolen and even after we put the tracker on the last one and only 2 kids lived on that street the police would not go and get it...in gym class he had his lunch stolen, his phone, and all of his supplies like his pencils...kids do not take any thing to gym class... I also wish the school would keep the calendar up better, and include if it is an a or b day on it. especially after the kids have been on holiday. the only saving grace is band...my son loves it and thankfully he is not the only non hispanic in his classes any more. I do get tired of parents not taking responsibility for their kid, and thier behavior. Stop the bully's....please

im a seventh grader here and i LOVE IT!! Mclean is better than Rosemont :D
I went to McLean 6th grade and then to the middleschool and that principal we had,Mr. Engel was really strict but put the kids back in place, he let them know that he wanted the best school and I feel that is what he got. This school gives lots of Pre-AP classes and even geometry, it really helped me for highschool.
I went here for the last 2 years of my life. Now I'm in high school but I will never forget the wonderful teachers. The PTA is great, Student Council is great, Sports are awesome, and there are many wonderful and helpful assemblies. The after school program is nice also. The classes are fun and not over challenging but just right. They are tons of extra-curricular stuff to do and the many electives they offer here are great.
Don't let your child attend this school. The staff just doesn't care and the offerings at this school are terrible.

I am student at McLean Middle School, and in my opinion, this is the best Middle School in Fort Worth, TX. All of the teachers are nice, reasonable, and have a great teaching strategy If you are a parent looking for a school your child should attend, let McLean be your choice!.

I 'heard' many good things about this school but have experienced many bad things while my son attended. I have noticed that many teachers treat the children with no respect. They talk down to them with out giving them the benefit of the doubt. The principals onthe other hand are very committed to the students and listening to the parents. They do have good sports opportunities but if you are not a good player from the get go you will never play a game. To me the coaches focus to much on winning than enjoying time with friends and enjoying learning the sport. The school is not at the level where it should be in regards to the TAKS test either. A majority of the kids fell below average on their reading scores per FWISD and a teacher in the school. I would not recommend this school.

This is a superb school! There is great parent involvement hosting dances, Family Fun Night, and teacher appreciation lunches. The athletic activities are outstanding with an active Booster Club. The choir, Future City and Whiz Quiz teams both took District championships. There are classes offered for high school credit. There are classes/activities for all level of student

We evacuated from hurricane Katrina to Fort Worth and I enrolled my son at McLean Middle school. The teachers and staff went out of their way to help him adjust. They helped us select his classes and even helped us find supplies and uniforms. I am very impressed with the variety of classes offered and the quality of the education. There is a wide range of extra-curricular activities available as well. We started the semester late due to the hurricane but my son was still able to plug into some extra-curricular activities. This is a wonderful school and I would definite send my child to this school again.

Very diverse! Has wonderful teachers and a sense of community throughout within the school! The teachers, prinicipal and staff go above and beyond to help these students! Highly recommended!

There are many good teachers at McLean, and the principal is very committed. The school suffers from a lack of funding for basics such as books, classroom space, and extracurricular activities.
