My son has attended kindergarten at NRES this year. His teacher has been wonderful. I could not have asked for a better teacher to give my son a great first year of school experience. Mrs. Jackson's communication has been stellar at every turn throughout the school year. Her expectations of the students are high in academics and behavior, however she has never pass up an opportunity to assist a struggling student. My only complaint would be the traffic issues during drop off and pick up, and unfortunately that is the parents failing expectations.
My older son went here and my younger son is now attending. The teachers in this school are great. They care about the student and I have found this true in all grades. The principal is wonderful and his leadership is evident by the quality of teachers. The Keller curriculum is outstanding. The level of learning is high quality. The curriculum does have homework which does require parent involvement or monitoring. I believe the quality of education in the Keller elementary schools is equivalent or better to any private school. Feel confident to send your child here.
I have had three of my children attend this school. I have always been welcome in the classroom, and the teachers have always been great. I have known the assistant principal, Mrs. Parkhill for 7 years (she was my oldest sons kindergarten teacher), and she is wonderful. The atmosphere at this school is very pleasant and you can tell that the teachers are genuinely happy to be teaching our children. The PTA at this school is outstanding, they provide a lot of extra activities for the children throughout the year. Hats off to: Mrs. Gleason, Mrs. Maki, Mrs. Coffey, Mrs. Petty, Mrs. Van Til and Mrs. Civello - all wonderful teachers!
This school has a very poor special education department. Teachers are inexperienced and noneffective. Parents are not allowed to observe their children in life class. Too many secrets being swept under rug!
