I wish to say thank you, a soul to soul truly felt gratitude. I heard during my search for a school, there will not be a perfect school. But yes! We found our school! I know of no other school that is so warm, loving, that you can feel the energy level when you walk in the feeling is incredible. One of the greatest gifts Anderson gives is a level of trust, knowing your children feel safe, loved and educated with respect and dignity. Our son is filled daily with a sense of pride, confidence and excitement to go to school and learn. We love most that all children can be themselves and learn at their own level, no pressure and no worries of being judged by peers and staff - for accepting that children learn differently. There's always someone to help with patience until he understands. My son loves Dr. A's jokes and that any question asked, you know there's always a great laugh and smile coming your way with his answer. He admires Mrs. A's strength-n-wisdom to teach with a great patience & passion and most important, a loving heart for all children. And the dogs give warmth-n-comfort. We are excited & blessed to have the opportunity to attend another year at Anderson School!
My son is a student at Anderson School. I do believe that this school will have a positive impact on the right kind of student. The environment is very chaotic at times. There is very little structure. The overlying philosophy is to make the student happy. There are numerous dogs inside the building. Sometimes I think these dogs are regarded higher than people. The curriculum is "self-paced" and there are no grades given to parents. There is VERY little feedback at all about the progress of the student. I am disappointed in the level of "gifted and talented" curriculum available. As far as I can tell, the english and math subjects are covered , but not much else. I have yet to see anything that is GT about the school. This school may be a fit for the right kind of student, however, it is almost impossible to compare to other schools due to the lack of grades or any other means of measuring success. Is my son "happy" going here??? Yes. I think he is happy because there is no homework, no grades, no conduct reports, and he gets to play computer games at school. Anderson School is very expensive and lacks progress reports or ANY feedback.
Before coming to the Anderson School my son had begun to give up and withdraw. Now he is learning to trust people again and is excited about what the school has to offer him. He is excited about getting out of bed in the morning to go to school. He respects Dr. Anderson and Mrs. Anderson tremendously. Thank you for your tremendous wisdom and compassion. The school is making a big difference in his life and in the life of our family. Thank you.
I am more grateful to both Dr. and Mrs. Anderson and the most truly remarkable, magical place you have created, than I can express. Thank you.
Thank you Anderson family for all your help. I hope you know how much we appreciate everything you've done for our son over the years and what a positive difference you've made in his life. Your school is very special and we were blessed to find it! Thanks.
My parents placed me in a positive academic environment that had a curriculum which enabled me to graduate early. Through the academic privileges of attending the Anderson School, I have better established my identity and I have grown as a person. The environment was positive, upbeat and salutary. By attending this smaller school, I received a more personalized education. The curriculum was designed around helping a student learn not through busy work, but through advancement according to each student's ability. Such a system allowed me to graduate early. I am glad to have attended such a school that helped me hone my academic abilities and offered me the academic freedom to advance according to my own initiative.
I have to admit I cried all the way home, tears of happiness that our son is happy at last. Thank you for accepting him in your wonderful school. We are simply overjoyed. You have such an organic environment at Anderson. Thank you so, so much. I am so relieved, you have no idea. I love that kid so much and my heart is just swelling that he is happy again.
I would love to say so many things I hold in my heart that words cannot convey. The Anderson School family is a part of me. I have found that I truly need everyone in this school in my life more than anyone could know. Thank you for taking the time to love me and my children. It is returned tenfold in my heart but words somehow fail to convey the depth of my feeling. I truly cherish the days my children are with the Anderson School.
I only spent a brief time at the Anderson School. However, it was a life changing experience. Attending the Anderson School not only provided me with a high level of education, but also with the skills of how to cope with and make it through life successfully. I wish I could have spent more time here to gain more of the knowledge that it taught throughout the years. This is an exceptional school and I would recommend any parent looking to enhance their child's education and future to attend the Anderson School.
My family is so fortunate to find this school. Every day brings a happy child back to our home. He is full of energy and anxious to go to school every day. What a difference this makes, not only in his life, but in ours. May God bless each one of you as you strive to maintain such a pleasant place for our son to grow and mature into a man. I credit you with making a huge difference in our lives. Thank you.
