Our oldest child attended LCA beginning with Kindergarten & graduated from Legacy in 2012. He was easily accepted at both Texas A&M and UT. As a college freshman this year, he has found himself more than adequately prepared for the academic rigors of college. He is succeding at A&M and has thanked us countless times for allowing him to attend LCA and learn so much there. Legacy has grown since the school began (we have been there all 14 years) and that growth has done nothing but benefit the students. The Bible program teaches students to claim their beliefs and how to be able to defend those beliefs. The Academics at LCA are very stringent in order to prepare the students for any university that they choose. If they have trouble keeping up with the academics at LCA, the teachers and staff are more than willing to help them with their studies outside of regular class time. LCA's headmaster has a huge heart for Christ, as well as for all LCA students, and that clearly carries over to include each staff member, teacher and coach at LCA. You will not find a school in North Texas that can partner with you to help grow your child into the well rounded adult that God made him/her to be.

We are starting our 10th year at Legacy. We love this school. My two children are challenged and encouraged to strive for their best. Every teacher we have encountered truly cares about the academic and spiritual growth of the children. We sacrifice to send our children to private school so that they can receive not only a top notch education, but also to support our Christian values and foundation that is important to our family. Legacy offers a well rounded balance between Bible, academics, fine arts and athletics. We are proud to be a part of the Legacy community.

LCA is a great school. We are not wealthy and make a tremendous effort and sacrifice to keep our son in that school and we strongly believe is the best decision we have made. No bullying problems at LCA. No popular kids at LCA, for us LCA is a big family and everybody treat others with respect and compassion. Academics are outstanding and kids enjoy going to school everyday. Also a big plus is that LCA is not a big school, because I strongly believe, that if the school is too big the kids will be just numbers.

We have been at Legacy for four years now and we couldn't be more convinced of the investment we are making not only in our children's academics, but in their character development as well. My wife and I have been so pleased with the quality of teachers our children have had and the very open-door policy of the admin. Our concerns over a private school environment years ago have not only vanished, but we have quite enjoyed the families at LCA, the values, the caliber of parenting, the teachers' interest in not only your child but your family as a whole. There is no "keeping up with the Jones'" pressure there either, which we were relieved to find. Little value is put on material things and the kids are taught early that "who has what" is not important. There is a lot addressed about one's heart, character and Biblical living. And the academics are very, very sound. All-in-all, I believe it is the most well-rounded educational experience around as far as academics, a sense of community, character training, leadership, extra-curricular activities all with a Biblical foundation. My wife and I are "all in" at LCA. We've seen it come home. It's the real deal.

We are currently driving our son from University Park to Legacy for their Transitional Kindergarten program (because we plan to move to that area in the next few months). A friend of mine urged us to go ahead and get our son in the TK program before enrolling him in Kinder there. We are SO thankful we did! He is currently playing "catch-up" and his teacher has been so great in assuring us he will be ready for Kindergarten. My husband and I are grateful everyday that we are not doing all this driving back and forth for nothing. We are convinced that if he were not doing the TK program at LCA, he would be repeating Kindergarten. Our son is journaling at home, writing in complete sentences, using appropriate punctuation and capitalization and describing words. We have found he is even writing a lot more at home just for fun. He is also reading beginning reader books. I myself cannot believe the strides he has made just this Fall semester. If this continues, we are at Legacy for the long haul for sure!

LCA is a wonderful school, a supportive community and a nurturing environment. My kids are encouraged and taught by devoted teachers who are exceptional. We have been a Legacy family for over 6 years and we can not say enough about the way our kids have grown academically, emotionally/socially and most important, spiritually. Without a doubt, we highly recommend LCA to others looking for a Christian college preparatory education balanced in academics, athletics and fine arts.

What a privilege to be a part of the Legacy Christian Academy family! This is our daughter's fourth year at LCA, and there is no other place we would want her to be. She is challenged academically, loved unconditionally, and has grown spiritually. Having been a teacher myself, I feel like I expect a lot from those I trust my daughter with... The faculty and staff at LCA continue to exceed my expectations. They are amazing and truly KNOW the children in the school (not just the ones in their classes). The headmaster and principals are always visible in the building and are not only approachable, but they encourage you to go to them with any questions or concerns. Without a moment's hesitation, I would (and have) recommend LCA to anyone looking for a Christ-centered, highly academic, nurturing, and supportive school in which to entrust your children. You will not be disappointed.

The new mantra at Legacy is hypocritical in nature and the more your buddy up to admin/teachers the more your children are rewarded over the deserving ones. Oh and teachers kids reign supreme!!

Both of our kids go to LCA. This year LCA grads went to several of the top 15 colleges including Princeton, Dartmouth, Unv. Of Chicago, Cornell, Brown ....... This speaks volumes about the school. period.

I would urge any person who is seeking private education for their children, in the North texas area, to be extremely vigilant. Ask tough questions about curriculum and ask for transparency regarding all decisions made by the school. I would urge that while you sign a contract financially with the school, you ask them to sign one as well (to uphold the standard of education promises they will make to you) Legacy is getting more concerned about being a business, than it is about the CLASSICAL education of it's FOUNDER, Jody Capehart. ( for whom has sadly been tossed aside) The great teachers it once employed are being replaced by "cost effectiveness" And if you want 20-25 students per class.. (as Legacy is creeping towards..) just be prepared. The beautiful campus has sadly become a shell.

I would suggest looking at other schools too. This used to be a wonderful school, my child went there for years but left last year. There have been too many changes and it turned into a business instead of a Christ centered school with a focus on Christian education.

Can stringent academics coexist with Christ-centered character development? I believe Legacy is committed to do them both with excellence, and in perfect harmony. We considered a school in Addison, but the faith component at Legacy was too important to forsake for only marginal gains in academics. We are not wealthy and we live 30 minutes away, but we are willing to make sacrifices to keep our kids there. Not all families there have been ideal, but the overall community is positive and welcoming.

I have had two sons graduate from Legacy Christian Academy. Both boys are now students at Baylor in the Pre-Med program. Their experience at Legacy was excellent! They attended from grammer school through High school. The teachers and staff are dedicated and committed and the school facilities are second to none. I have two more students still at Legacy, one a junior in high school and the other in seventh grade. I am thrilled with the education they are receiving and the emphasis on Christ centered values. A great school and well worth the investment to send my children there.

Had 2 kids going to Legacy. They are now in college and were totally unprepared for it. I wish I had saved the $20,000 for college instead. When academics is no different than anywhere else, and weaker than other private schools, you are better off saving the money for college. Kids didn't want to leave LCA because of the friends. Having bible classes does not make them Christian. The questions to ask is: are the students prepared for college, both academically and spiritually? The answer in NO. Save your money.

Although it has a good Christian environment, they ban your websites and spend tons of money on athletics... too many parent complaints removed advanced programs... I find PUBLIC SCHOOL better.

My three children have attending Legacy Christian Academy for the past 4 years and it has been the best investment into our children's Christian character. The teachers are sharing the gospel on a regular basis, and they are the highest quality of educators. My children have grown academically and spiritually.

I have two children that attend Legacy. This is our third year attending and I would HIGHLY recommend LCA to anyone. My son was in a Frisco Middle School prior to LCA and things were not going well at all. He was just a number and was labeled as someone he was not. We came to Legacy and his entire world changed. He is given the respect he deserves and there 'for the most part' gives it back. He has become an exceptational Christian, due in part by his teachings at LCA. The upper school principal is amazing with the kids and truly dedicated to his job. The athletic department has exceptional coaches and are great role models for the kids. The teachers, well they are wonderful too.

LCA has been a wonderful blessing to our family! This is our 6th year in the school and I have a middle school child and a high school child. When we joined the school, we changed the adults that our children were going to grow up to be. It is my honor and pleasure to begin seeing the fruit of that decision in my 17 year old. I recommend Legacy Christian Academy highly!!

I am a student at Legacy and have been attending the school for five years. The teachers are personable, they honestly have an interest in our well being and strive to help us succeed. Every day we learn more about ourselves as individuals and who we are in Christ. My walk with the Lord has been strengthened significantly since I have been at Legacy. I have attended three Christian schools in my life, and Legacy is by far the best school that i have attended. Legacy provides a strong Christian education that challenges both my academic intellect and my spiritual walk with my Lord and Savior.
