This school is HORRIBLE. do not send your kids here if you have a choice. the principal is awful, he will flirt with your girl students and make them feel very uncomfortable. he should not be a principal, why do you think so many good teachers are leaving. the amazing dance teacher left and now their football coach is leaving. I wonder why...it all comes from the top. MR.BURDETTE should be gone.
There are a lot of new teachers in Frisco ISD. Some of the new teachers do not live up to the standard. My son was in Fowler MS GT program, two GT teachers there were just wonderful. He is very disappointed by his English teachers in Liberty HS and we have to find a private English tutor from Plano ISD to keep him afloat. Frisco ISD should have more rigid hiring process and teacher training. English department in Liberty HS is not very strong.
The method of teaching is simply amazing! My child used to fail all his classes, but now, he is an A student! I couldnt believe it! I highly recommend this school!
very nice school... my kids go here... i am very pleased with the school especially the principal...
Our daughter attended Frisco ISD from kindergarten. Now, she is in 9th grade of Frisco Liberty high school. We are glad that we moved to Frisco area due to the kindnesses and supports from Frisco teachers and administrators. There are so much to learn from normal to advance programs and extra activities. We were impressed with the results that our kid and her classmates had achieved. Frisco Liberty offers many PAP class and the Career & Technical Education (CTE) is awesome in providing hand-on experiences. Highly recommended Liberty high school.
Great teachers and small class size. Almost like a private school!
I have attended this school for one year now. On its own, I would say it is a nice school with a new and clean building. The education is above average and the staff is friendly. However, I have wanted nothing more than to move back to my old school in Plano. In comparison, Frisco does not stack up. The education is in no way challenging and I have had very few reasons to commit myself to school because I do not feel engaged. I was in the gifted/Humanities program in Plano and was tested to my limits, but here I finish my work before many others and sit there with nothing to do. The teachers are not as experienced and play favorites.
My kids have gone to this school for 2 years and all they want to do is leave. Teachers are o.k. but the administration is horrible, VPs and Principal are harsh and critical of the kids, unless the kids are part of their 'favourites' list ... Many of the kids are afraid to speack out due to fear of the administration ... can't wait to have my kids out of that school.
Our exchange student has done well here. We like it for our other 3 to follow.
Liberty is amazing and this year's recognized rating is proof of the strength of the Administration and Teachers there. Other high schools in the area need to pay attention to some of the innovative things they are doing there. LHS is the best school in North Texas.
