The spirit of the staff and support of the parents is unparalleled in excellence, and is a fitting tribute to the legacy of this school. It's namesake, Claude Curtsinger, would undoubtedly be quite proud.

This was our first year at Curtsinger as my son entered Kindergarten. We were so lucky and blessed to have Mrs. Rhodes. She was wonderful. My son learned so much from her. She is also a very warm and loving teacher. Her kids never questioned whether she cared or not. It was shown everyday. She is so organized and creative. I am hoping that my daughter will get her this fall. At the end of school all the kids got a picture with her and sweet little sayings. She took the time to make all of it special for each student. The school is great, the atmosphere is terrific and the teachers are wonderful. Julie B

Curriculum and teaching quality is overall good but not exceptional. The overall approach can be improved. This school is well suited for slightly above average kids but a high energy gifted kid gets stifled because of the norms, traditions and protocol. The administration & teachers need to have a more open minded approach to channel the energy of gifted kids instead of getting frustrated and averaging out the kid to an acceptable level.

My child has attended since K and has had very little trouble but...I am very disappointed in the new principle. She has her heart in the right place I hope but..she is a micro-micro manager. She wants anything and everything to go through her. Letters to parents and teachers even if she approved them from last year. She will only answer the phone on speakerphone and to me that is unprofessional and very uncomfortable. She has changed the whole atmosphere of the school. As a parent I find it very difficult to volunteer for anything with out her 'laying down the law' in the meetings to what brands of food they can have for parties due to a contract they have with a food company or what presents we can give to the teachers. I really miss our old principle with her happy go lucky personality.

My child has attended this school for many yeara. Academic programs are great, teachers are great and very attentive. New assistant principal lacks alot of experience and should go back to teaching.

The school has an excellent staff of teachers, administrators with excellent parental involvement. The school activities range from book fairs, music shows and family nights outside of school. It is a great school and my son is in fourth grade.
