If you want your kids to participate and actually play in the athletic programs here make sure you really get ready to kiss some you know what because there is nothing but cliques here and the coaches especially Knott encourages this kind of behavior. I saw multiple times during this basketball season where unskilled players being selected over skilled ones because they are more popular. And talk about being out of your depth as a basketball coach. She chooses speedy soccer kids with no basketball skills because they have speed. Then over the course of the season I see not even one of them actually work or show any skill. They run into players and rack up the fouls. This school just perpetuates this kind of behavior while another one up the road has a real coaching system in place and always contends as 1 or 2 school in the district. In my opinion the coaches here at Clark have no business being called coaches because they do not actually coach anyone but their own egos.

This is not the school for you if your kid needs any accommodations. The 8th grade counselor is disorganized and lacks empathy, or general skills.. The Principal is a dinosaur, and student's needs are not being adequately addressed as there is no leadership or vision by his non presence or courage to evolve, make changes. The teachers are amazing at this school so don't despair if you are stuck here. Excellent Band Program.

Not sure how this school rates a 10...bullying is a major problem. I spoke to one child who said he transferred due to bullying. A friend of mine cried repetitively this year, as her child was bullied daily, but then he was vilified when she tried to report it. My own child was harassed daily in a specific class, and when I notified the school, not only did they do little to protect my child, they also stopped returning my calls.

This is a terrible school!!! My girls were there for two years and they were bullied and when we took it to the principal, he did absolutely NOTHING about it. Actually, when it was brought to his attention my child was the one disciplined and not the bully. Also, as far as the athletics there???" what a joke" The coaches are lacking the knowledge to teach the kids.... I don't believe the "coaches" have ever even played basketball. The teachers there also are allowed to curse at there students. The teachers are mean and some are so old and cranky they just need to retire. It got so bad here that we had to move to protect our kids. I don't see how this school received a ten?

Clark has been a great experience for us so far with our two kids. The few things which are kind of shocking to be present in a Frisco ISD schools - - Lack of core material for students on a daily basis - there are no more textbooks for kids to haul around which is great for their backs but unless they take diligent notes there is not much to review. I would prefer some sort of electronic format textbooks. These kids have devices coming out of their ears these days. Also with the tax base here I am shocked to see handful of devices for use in the school. Money is not being spent in the right places. - The biggest disappointment for me to date has been the Athletic program. The basketball teams are nothing more than a popularity contest. I know girls who have worked hard for years who have been moved out of the competitive teams for a person who is no where in the skill level but is popular. This teaches these kids nothing about hard work but instead just beats them over the head with popularity. Half the team is made up of cheerleaders. It is an absolute sham.

About half of the sixth grade teachers are mean, however, most of the core class teachers are nice. The seventh grade teachers can be strict and the eighth grade teachers and by far the nicest!!!!! I don't have a good chemistry base for next year because my science teacher last year didn't understand it herself, but this year she is only teaching math. They had a bully program last year (I'm not sure about this year since I'm in high school now), but it didn't do much to help. I never saw any physical bullying, but there was some emotional and cyber bullying. The girls coaches are really awesome!!!!! I went from being terrible to being on my high schools JV team and with an average coach I probably would've made the freshman team. I found the principal to be helpful, friendly, and courteous in general. The VPs were ridiculous though.

If you have a special needs/ autistic child this is not a school for you. The teachers thought that our child was very independent, therefore when he had an anxiety attack, he got detention for it. The principal is very rude and the staff (except for the receptionist) cannot think for themselves. We are not coming back to this school.

As a former 8th grader, I have been physically hurt here. No matter how much you tell, you still get harassed. It is unacceptable to let those kind of things happen. Whenever I try to take physical action on my bully, I always end up in trouble!!! It's like the teachers don't care about me getting bullied but they care when right at the moment, I'm about to punch the bully! It's not right.

Mr. Katz and Mrs. Vanhook, the Band and Orchestra teachers are very funny and nice. Allthough, Band has some nice students and orchestra not so much.

A a prospective homebuyer in the area these kind of comments really affect our decision. Bullying, rude teachers. I suspect we will look elsewhere

This school is filled with bullies! My child was harrassed physically by a student!! I am very disappointed that further disciplinary action was not taken. As for the cirriculum - it's a joke! Their are no course offerings for any grades besides AP classes which are laughable! My child has tested at an AP 10th grade level, so now we are looking for a school that can provide the academics that is needed. If you are looking for a school full of bullies and a lower than average cirruculum, then this is the school for you!! Otherwise, look elsewhere. Oh and if you ever send correspondence to the principal, don't ever expect to hear from him. He will only pass you on the the assistant principals.

I am the parent of a 6th grader and 70% of the teachers are RUDE RUDE RUDE! They yell at the children, are extremely impatient, and easily frustrated with struggling students. They embarrass children in front of their peers. It's the principal who establishes the culture at a school, and obviously the 6th grade vice principal and main principle allow this culture to be established by the staff. The counselor shakes your hand like a limp dish rag and spends 30 seconds typing the parent a 1 sentence email when asking for information about their child, then spends the same amount of time "checking" on the child. Very disappointing.

I am an eighth grader at Clark Middle School. It is a wonderful school with amazing students and no bullying at all, but the staff can be unfair. Most of the teachers (Not all) there like to pick favorites and those they decide they do not like are treated unfairly. The athletics teachers are slightly rude too. But I do enjoy my years here, because of the students and the nice teachers that are here.

We've been involved at Clark for a few years, now. In the category of 'principal leadership', I can't say that there is any: there's never any contact. Everything seems to be run through the school's vice-principals. Teacher quality is fine, but teacher communication is awful. You have to request teacher meetings to get any real information on what's going on in the classroom. Also, if you ask to get ongoing feedback from them on how your child is performing/behaving, they just tell you to schedule another meeting if you have other concerns. It shouldn't be so hard to get feedback from a teacher. Extracurricular activities are a major plus. Everything from theater to sports to academic events. Everything seems to revolve around the band, though. Orchestra and choral kids seem to get the short end of the stick when it comes to practice rooms and events, though. Overall, a very decent school.

Hello, I am an Ex 7th grade student from 2004-2005 and I am going to give you my view about Adelle Clark. Negatives and Postives views. Yes, Clark did make me a A and B student and gave gave me wonderful achievement on my behavoir, but there are some dumb rules that drove me crazy. Homework: If your homework isn't turned in you get a form called a 'ZAP' meaning you have to get it signed by your parents and turned back by the school the next day and you will get a 70% and no lower or higher. I understand that, I just thought you should know. Lunch: Awesomely Good! How many periods are there? There are 9 total, I was exhausted by time I got home. Teachers: Some are Rude,They were rude to my parents. Extracurricular activities: Awesome expecially theater. School total: It's ok I give it (1-5) 3

My daughter attended sixth grade last year and is currently a seventh grader at Clark Middle School. She is happy there and has a positive attitude about the teachers, fellow students, and the programs offered. I feel that Clark is an exceptional school, with qualified staff and teachers and more than adequate facilities. The student teacher ratio is generally low and there seems to be very little student conflict/bullying. Clark utilizes an internet program which allows parents to view their child's day to day homework, test scores, and upcoming schoolwork. Their sports programs are good; generally youth sports in this area (Frisco/Plano TX) is widespread and participation is readily available for most students. Academics are strong, AP courses are available, band, art, theater, Spanish, and a course that seems to cater to engineering enthusiasts, are all available. We are impressed with this school so far!
