Excellent school. Very proud my child is part of Spears Elementary. The teachers are wonderful, caring, and very devoted. Could not ever find a school as good as Spears. Moved here from a terrible school district where kids carry guns to school. Every day I drop my child off at Spears, I am grateful and thankful he is getting the best education possible. That is worth more than anything in the world to me.

We love this school...Our first year was a little rough but only because the expectations are so high. Spears strives for excellence in both their teachers and their students. We moved from Carrollton where education was sub-standard. Love the area, love the parent involvement, love the seeds they are planting for our future generations. Thank you, Spears!

Spears is an outstanding public school. Their teachers devote a lot of time to after school tutoring to help all kids regardless of a child's background. The school does not discriminate and treats each child as special. The school is zoned for neighborhoods of all economic backgrounds including apartments, trailer homes, to very upscale neighborhoods. My daughter receives after school tutoring and she loves the attention. I am not sure why some parents feel the school has materialistic teachers. I have found the teachers and staff to be caring and concerned and they don't care what economic background a child is from. They care about a child's success. My husband has a blue collar job and I stay at home. We couldn't be happier.

Very uncaring and materialistic teachers. Don't expect to get any concerns resolved. They do not care about the social/emotional development of the children , they are mostly concerned about their test scores/ratings. The test scores might be good thanks to all the private tutoring wealthy families can provide for their children.

The staff from front office to teachers is full of "SNOBS"... They dont really care about the social development of the kids neither do they care about you concerns. They only care about the wealthy families that give a lot to the school.

The staff is rude and they dont seem to care about your concerns. The Assistant Principle always seems to have chip on her shoulder. I dont find them to be warm and carinng people at all. There is no organization when it comes to children's safety, no one is watching the kids when they enter the school and same applies at the end of the day. I guess we are use to schools where no matter what your race and ethni background is you are treated with dignity and respect so you can feel welcome not like at spears where if you are different and dont look like you are coming from a rich home you are going to be either disrespected/ ignored or mistreated to make you feel horrible.

Spears has been the best schooling my childern have ever recieved. My family moved here from Ohio and I am thrilled with the attention my chilren get. Th teachers and staff are outstanding. In regaurds to the drop off anf pick up review: I'm sure there are situations where problems come about, but I have never had any problems and the crossing guards have been very helpful and I do trust them with my children.

The schoolis absolutely wonderful. The teachers are phenominal and really work hard with the kids. I think to much is spent on the TAKS but what school isn't w/ no child left behind in place. The only thing that I did not like, coming from another city, was how focused the parents are on who you are and what you have. It's not the school, it's the parents! Again, the school is phenominal!

Drop off and pick up is not thought out all. Kids are running into the streets with busy traffic and no crossing guards. The other alternative is to wait in line for 30 minutes (or longer to pick up after school). The current system does not work. Hopefully, during the day, things are more organized.
