My son attended this school pre-k thru 1st & I can honestly say that he enjoyed all his teachers as did I. I cant wait for my other child to attend.

This is the most positive and student-focused school I have ever had the privilege of working at. The Principal is very supportive and she really cares about the students. The comment about needing a lawyer to check out your child makes me laugh, because we are very tight about security and student-safety. I would think that a parent would appreciate the extra measure of protection. At this school, your child will be safe, will learn, and will be loved. I love this school! KS

My son has attended Edison elementary for two years. I have been really impressed with the whole school. Couldn't have asked for better teachers both years. A+++++++++ on our 2 teachers!!!!!! very compasionate about teaching and loving towards children. The principal is really fun, and is the right person for this school. I enjoy all the ''''extra'''' time, and there is a lot of it; teachers, the principal, and staff put in to make learning fun for the children. My son enjoyed every day of school, from speech class, to cool school, to the very last day. As a parent that warms my heart. I feel he has received a very good start to his education, by attending edison. My only complaint about this school would be the size, aprox 600 kids in one school is too much for us!!!

I could not wait to get my daughter out of this school, they have a new principal and the school is run like it is a prison. there is no open door policy and you just about have to get a lawyer to check your child out of school early. The staff is not friendly. They have maybe 3 to 4 friendly people in the entire building.

My child is a special needs student, and instead of trying to help my child learn the past principal and staff scuffed him off to other classes just to get him through the day without actually having to work with him. His test scores going into 2nd were very low and due from the lack of proper education from the staff. The best thing for this school was the change of leadership. I cuold care less if someone is nice to me, my main concern is my child and there education. Im not there for someone to be nice to, im there to give my child the education he is entitled to.

This school year really has been a rude awakening for most parents. When parents are asked to participate they are rudely turned away. It has been seen more than once the principal talking down very rudely to the parents and staff. Having principal change was not good for our children in any way. You actually seen and felt the sincerity from the past principal. Was always invited to get involved with open arms and recieved a warm thank you. Never rudely spoken too! As for the academics the teachers teach from their hearts just communication with parents make it suffer. Some teachers actually make you feel very uncomfortable to be there. I hope this improves before my next child enters this school.

I am well pleased with this school so far this year. The change of principals as already proved that is was the right thing. I think Edison is heading back on track now. I'm looking forward in seeing how the rest of the school year turns out.
