First off, every school does not commit these kinds of Mistakes!!!! When you physically assaulted a child you're not making a mistake!!!! Maybe you need to be told to control your anger... A child is an innocent victim!!!! Shame on you as a parent for condoning this!!! And shame on the school for keeping these employees!!!
No school is perfect. We all commit mistakes. But one thing I'm sure of, this school is committed to the success of every students. The school is growing every year. From around 330 students last year to almost 370 students this year with dozens in the waiting list. A lot of students who left previously keep on coming back. So who said that this school is losing students? Ambassadors Preparatory Academy is growing and getting stronger every year.
We love this school. The academics are challenging, and fun. They focus on intellectual and emotional intelligence. Children are taught to be aware of the world, and are expected to watch the news, as well as discuss it every morning. The class trips are unbelievable! (I'm envious!) My children are excited to go to school, and love talking about their day. The teachers are a brilliant, interesting, diverse group. Their educational backgrounds are impressive. The only downside, is this school only goes up till 8th grade, and thus far there aren't any charter options for High School. Dr. Williams is wonderful. She dotes on each child, and knows their names. Her school is a community, it's group oriented;it's a fantastic team. The school really involve the parents. Just like a college, your children's teacher will have daily office hours where you can meet with them. They do get homework even in Pre-K. Our children are excited about it, and enjoy doing their homework. Our 3 year old was so enthusiastic, he came home grabbing at the air proclaiming "Look! I touching gas!" - at 3, they were taught the difference between a gas and a solid. How cool is that?
This school will give every students a complete dose of education they need in order to be successful in the future. No doubt, this is the best school in the island!
I love this school! My children are getting the best education that Galveston can offer. The Principal ,Dr. Williams, is wonderful, caring supportive and she get the job done. She looks out for the best interest of the students academically, emotionally, socially, and physically. GISD can learn alot from this school!!
APA has strong school leadership, excellent teachers and challenging academic programs. I recommend this school to parents who want a quality education for their child.
