Profile Completeness

BASIC

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

I think this school has definite potential. First of all, fix the latches in the rest room. That little detail explains it all. The teachers are very hard on the kids, especially GT children that are not given any kind of GT curriculum, yet the teachers themselves break rules, laws, and social expectations.

This school has no organization and lacks a relationship with all but an elite group of parents. The administration changes policies without informing parents or providing announcements for the students to bring home, and then blames the students when the new policies are not followed. They proclaim that students are expected to show responsibility in advising parents of changes and activities, yet they require parents to sign a planner everyday in which students record their homework. They expect students to be responsible when it comes to changes in the routine, yet they DON'T trust them to be responsible enough to handle a daily routine. Then the school excuses itself from its own obligation and responsibility to the parents, while at the same time admonishing the parents for not being more aware of school policies, procedures, and events. A portion of the school's teaching staff is unreliable (2 of 7 teachers in my child's grade have left unannounced in the middle of the year, requiring a complete upheaval of the grade's daily schedule and types of classes), and another portion is unknowledgeable (teachers that know less about the English language than their students).

My son is attending this school. Him and I we both are very happy because they have a great program, good teachers and the best of all a great principal.
