This is honestly a terrible school. But most are in Garland. If you have kids who will be going to school, try not to move into this area. It has low test scores, and a lot of violence goes on. There isn't enough rules, and kids get bullied to often.

As a teacher, Sellers is the best there is. There is great administrative support, technology in the classroom, and awesome staff to work with. I have taught there twice. I left and came back. I would return again if given the chance.

My husband attended this school and now our (5)children are attending or have attended this school. The teachers and staff there are great people and do just about anything to assure that you and your children are comfortable.

The teachers are dedicated and will do their best to ensure that their students understand the subjects being taught. Tutorials are available for students who need a refresher or perhaps extra time to finish their work or correct the assignments turned in. There are many opportunities to learn and extra-curricular activities are available as well. The instruction is excellent and the staff well-rounded. This school is not Recognized for 2 years in a row for nothing!

I've had 2 children attend Sellers and was most pleased with the education they received. I will admit that when I first learned that my oldest son did not make it into Austin Academy and would have to go to Sellers I was very upset and a little afraid. I had heard horror stories from other parents and was nervous about everything. But the teachers are always available and every time I've scheduled a parent/teacher conference or had a concern, I've always been contacted promptly. I also like that Sellers has been a Recognized school. Way to go! I think Sellers has come a long way over the years!

This school is in a very diverse neighborhood. It was a Recognized school last year. So that negates the first reviewer. They were also chosen as one of the ten most improved schools in the state. Great teachers and very willing to meet the needs of all children.
