Well I really like my school now we don't have to wear belts ,we can carry our phones ,and on Friday we can wear any color jeans ( for a dollar ) . this is my second year at sellers ( I'm in 7th grade ) ,but the ONLY thing I don't like is that we have to pay a dollar for jeans on Friday ... That sucks right but maybe next or hopefully this year they change that

This school is by far the worst school in Garland. The Principal doesn't really focus on the school's Academic progress. All he does is worry about what color socks the kids are wearing. My kids didn't even know what a gang was until they went to this school The saddest part is they learned it from the School staff (especially principal) because they say that by wearing mismatch socks "it's considered gang related"! Really, when most of the 6th graders are failing this is the least he should be worried about. I pray that the school gets shut down or a new principal. The teahers are really not that bad, but they are worried on the "school rules" instead of teaching right! I am changing my kids ASAP, the only thing holding me back is the waiting list for all the good schools in GISD are pretty long.

This is honestly a terrible school. But most are in Garland. If you have kids who will be going to school, try not to move into this area. It has low test scores, and a lot of violence goes on. There isn't enough rules, and kids get bullied to often.

As a teacher, Sellers is the best there is. There is great administrative support, technology in the classroom, and awesome staff to work with. I have taught there twice. I left and came back. I would return again if given the chance.

My husband attended this school and now our (5)children are attending or have attended this school. The teachers and staff there are great people and do just about anything to assure that you and your children are comfortable.

The teachers are dedicated and will do their best to ensure that their students understand the subjects being taught. Tutorials are available for students who need a refresher or perhaps extra time to finish their work or correct the assignments turned in. There are many opportunities to learn and extra-curricular activities are available as well. The instruction is excellent and the staff well-rounded. This school is not Recognized for 2 years in a row for nothing!

I've had 2 children attend Sellers and was most pleased with the education they received. I will admit that when I first learned that my oldest son did not make it into Austin Academy and would have to go to Sellers I was very upset and a little afraid. I had heard horror stories from other parents and was nervous about everything. But the teachers are always available and every time I've scheduled a parent/teacher conference or had a concern, I've always been contacted promptly. I also like that Sellers has been a Recognized school. Way to go! I think Sellers has come a long way over the years!

This school is in a very diverse neighborhood. It was a Recognized school last year. So that negates the first reviewer. They were also chosen as one of the ten most improved schools in the state. Great teachers and very willing to meet the needs of all children.

This Is A Very Good School It Has Changed Over The Years A Whole Lot. They Find Alot Of Ways To Help The Kids Understand How To Do There Work. I Have To Agree Though That It Is Around A Bad Neighborhood And That There Are Alot Of Fights! Allthough I Don't Agree On The Education Part! Have U Seen There TAKS Scores? There Amazing!

The tutoring is good, many available times to fit with parents schedule. Teachers are available via email and phone. The academics are good.

Oh no. This school has a horrible neighborhood around it, there is way too many fights, and the kids aren't educated well. Parents, stay away from this school. It's a nightmare for your child and the teachers don't give a care about their education. I would never reccommend this to anyone I know. Don't trust this school in taking care of your child and her/his education.
