My daughter has attended this school for 3 years. Her teachers have been knowledgeable, constructive and creative. Students are encouraged to set goals and reach beyond them. Students show pride in self accomplishment and really get excited when their whole class succeeds at reaching a goal. This is a very good example of how a school should be.
George West Primary School is a family. No one is left out or left behind...failure is not an option. The children love their Principal and teachers. Just step onto the campus and you can witness the love yourself! The children are truly happy there...they love to learn...it is a wonderful environment for all students!
When my children where at George West Primary, I felt that each teacher took a special interest in every child. The principal, Pat James, does not care what race or income level a child comes from, he believes all children can learn and loves and cares for them all equally. Our school has won Texas state awards for the past 8 years and was named a Federal, National Award winning Blue Ribbon School. It has also been featured in Texas Monthly as a top Elementary School in Texas.
Of all the schools that my children and grandchildren have attended, GW Primary is the best by far. The Principal and staff are always eager to meet with parents and/or grandparents who are active in the child's life. The learning curriculum is awesome.
