Our 7-year old started at CMS at age 3. The campus, the guides, the staff, and the community are wonderful. This school truly embodies the Montessori philosophy, teaching children to love learning and to respect all people and the earth.
We are very happy with Community Montessori School! My son's guide is amazing. The campus is really beautiful. His guide is in frequent contact with me so I always know what is going on in class. This is a real Montessori school, affiliated with AMI. This is not one of those daycares that use the Montessori name and then don't follow Montessori principles. In his 3 years at CMS, my son has grown so much, both socially and academically. He loves to read and he really has a gift for math and geography. CMS allows him to really develop his skills to their fullest extent according to his interests, rather than following the same schedule as everyone else.
We have a daughter in the primary program at this school which actually serves children through 12 years (6th grade). It is an amazing, nurturing environment which inspires a life-long love of learning in children. CMS is AMI certified and recognized by the organization as an outstanding Montessori institution. The guides are all well-trained, caring individuals, and every classroom is outfitted with a full supply of Montessori materials. Our child has blossomed in this environment, developing her reading, math, social, and practical life skills beyond what we could have expected. In addition, she has learned that all people deserve her respect and empathy. We are so proud of her development in this wonderful, safe environment. We love CMS!
We love this school! We have children in the primary and toddler communities here and absolutely love it! Our kids are happy to go to school each morning. Their social and academic skills are developing well and they have benefited from the knowledgeable guides, diverse community, and beautiful campus. Our older child is in his kindergarten year, and we plan to keep our kids here throughout their elementary years.
Its a very good school, I had pulled out my kids from excemplery school and am very happy about the decision
I have both of my children and CMS. They started in the toddler program at 18months. Now ages 3 and 6, they are thriving and love school.
I have had my children at CMS for 3 years and plan to continue through 6th grade. There is an sense of community in all the school does. The education is progressive and flexible enough to deal with learning issues and strengthen a child's needs for extra help or to push beyond their grade levels. My children are excited each day to go to school and to be in such a loving and beautiful environment.
I have had my child at CMS for the last 2 years. I could not be happier with our experience, including the professionalism, attitude, and knowledge of the guides, the facility, the parent involvement, and the diversity. I would absolutely recommend this school if you are looking for a child-driven approach to education.
We are very fortunate to be at C.M.S. and are thrilled with our daughter's guide. The campus is spacious and has room for future growth. The staff is warm, friendly and caring towards every child and adult. There is a true 'community' feeling to this school. I find a tangible excitement within the community, which I have not discovered elsewhere. The diversity of the families and staff is enriching and inspiring. It demonstrates the overall approach of the school, which is inclusive, caring, involved, professional and warm. We are dedicated to ensuring our daughter continues through the entire program offered. I would like to see the school expand through High School. I will also add that the tuition is a bargain for all your child experiences. It is worth every penny. I wish I could do my childhood over and attend C.M.S.
My children attended CMS for primary and a few years of elementary. I have found them to be very prepared in math and socially very tolerant and kind. They work well with children of all ages. They remember their days at CMS very fondly and I am very thankful they were there for their formative years.
