The Village Elementary School

My daughter is finishing Kindergarten next month and she absolutely loves it. From the very first day we went to meet the teacher, she fell in love with the school. Everything that is done in school is meant to enrich the child, and leave them wanting more. From the classrooms, curriculum, the attitude of the teachers to the extracurricular activities that are offered the children learn in a happy environment. My daughter went to Village 4 days after we moved to TX and she made friends the very first day. It is absolutely wonderful to see her come home happy & curious with plenty of stories and projects to share.

I have had four children graduate from K-5 from this excellent elementary school in a quaint neighborhood in Georgetown. The principal Anne Spooner is one of the most caring and competent that I have ever encoutered, and the teachers she has attracted and retained are all wonderful, caring people like herself. The teachers all work in teams, and the small class sizes are excellent for fostering friendship among the kids. The school was built in 1998, so the facilities are wonderful. The current music teacher is a former Miss Georgetown and music-theatre person who is absolutely fabulous with the kids. The Art teacher is also great; she is extremely creative and the kids do really innovative stuff with materials and computers. I can't say enough about the confidence I have in this school on every level, including parental support.
