My kids school is AWESOME! The teachers and staff work really hard and are dedicated to giving the students of Shields Elementary a curriculum that fits their needs to help them grow and be successful in their schooling and understanding of what they are being taught and learning. Knowledge is definitely power and I believe 100% that the staff at Shields is doing their best to provide our kids with the knowledge they need to succeed.

The transformative power of an effective teacher is something almost all of us have experienced and understand on a personal level. If we were particularly fortunate, we had numerous exceptional teachers who made school an exciting and interesting place. Those teachers possessed a passion for the subjects that they taught and genuine care for the students with whom they worked. They inspired us to play with ideas, think deeply about the subject matter, take on more challenging work, and even pursue careers in a particular field of study.

My son's school is the amazing. The staff is great and the really care about the children. My son has dyslexia and with the help he gets at Shields Elementary he is still a straight A student.

Shields is the greatest school because they have a wonderful staff of very educated teachers who have lots of experience. The principal Mrs. North is very dedicated to making all of the students very comfortable she makes sure that there zero tolerance for bullies is enforced. I just love the school very much.

Shields is awesome!! My third child is attending there this year and I have had nothing but a great experience. The teachers are excellent and Mrs. North is a superb principle!

Shields Elementary is an awesome school. I love how the parents are always in the loop of things that's coming up or going on at the school. We are slways getting an automatic from someone from the district about all current news or etc.

What a great school! I could not ask for a better place for my kids to go to school. I know they are getting a top notch education in a loving and supportive environment. When my oldest child left Shields he was completely prepared for 5th grade and I know my other child will be, too!

This school is great. They have extracurricular activities and wonderful teachers and staff. My children love to go here and are not really looking forward to leaving to go on. They will miss Shields Elementary greatly when they go on to the higher grades.

I am so glad my daughter has the opportunity to attend Shields. She has had great teachers both years she has gone here. The parent involvement is enormous. There are a few extra curricular activities but I don''t expect much of that in an elementary school.

This is the best school ever. I wish we still lived in Red Oak. There is not extracurricular activities. The parent involvement is great. The teachers and principles really look out for the kids.
