I have the same problem with transportation. I am not sure how to reach out without having information public. Reagan is a good school. The office staff can be a challenge, but I have to take into consideration the number of people they deal with from day to day. Diversity is a challenge but I teach my children to look beyond that.
Hello,we r new in the area, My son is currently enrolled at Reagan and just loves the school!!! But, bcuz we got back transportation information, we r looking for reliable person who would be interested in helping w/ transportation to school in the mornings, as we have to be at work @ 5am.. I would be willing to pay for the service or trade for afternoon picking u ur child.. Please, if anyone is interested, we are located on w westchester pkwy & Carrier. Thank u..
Regan Middle School is still lacking diversity training and this year has been no different. I do not recommend this school for minorities. The prejudice that they carry is so blatant. I honestly believe the teachers are there to destroy minority students. I challenge anyone to review the records of student ratios as it pertains to detention. Often times students are referred for bogast reasons. I also challenge anyone to interview students in regards to what they witness. Students of the majority are aware of blantant circumstances.
I am a student at RMS & my favorite teacher, Coach Lofton is absolutely amazing. He's so nice & understanding. :) If you have the chance in being his student, you are lucky to the max!
I have a daughter that went to Reagan for three years and now my son attends Reagan. Reagan is a great school with amazing leadership and outstanding parent involvement.
5 years, It sounds like it is business as usuaI at Regan. Perhaps, I should have commented some time ago. But, I was elated when I no longer was subjected to the spirit of this educational institution. Nevertheless, I agree with comments relating to the need of diversity training and skill to enhance the educational experience for all students. I found it to be quite interesting, the disparity in the number of non-white staff in the class rooms/administration. Much of what I observed was lack of compassion/understanding, just hateful demeanor. That first contact in the office" set the tone immediately. This individual is well over due for diversity training and attitude adjustment. You know what they say, sometimes"You just can't teach an old dog new tricks". It's 2011, if you are blessed on this earth long enough, change is inevitable. The key is for all parents to stay viligilant and be extremely involved in your child's education. Eventhough much of my interaction was pretentious it was OK, because I was able to ascertain that my children's needs were fulfilled. Regan, undoubtly could be a cut above, it is academically sound, yet far reaching in so many other areas.
i am a student here and the school is great the athletics program is awesome .the academics are great it is an exemplary school and there are some great teachers in 6th and 8th grade . in the 7th grade there are some awful teachers the social studies and math program arnt the best with some teachers but on the other hand the school is awsome !!! go knights !!
This is not a school for children of color.. Teachers turn a blind eye at issues regarding their own ethnic background. Kids of color are treated like criminals. This applies to administration as well as faculty.
I agree with the review from Nov. 2010. Although most of the teachers are wonderful the support staff are very rude. To be treated that way as a parent is extremely offensive. I have had bad experiences with the lady who works in the attendance office and the nurse. I am at the school often and have seen them also interact with students and other parents in a crude and unprofessional manner. I would suggest the principal speak with them. It does not set a good example for the students when they see staff members being rude and degrading to parents and the students themselves.
I recommend this school. They have a great staff cool clubs and awesome electives from band to drama and even dance!!!!!!!!
