This is a fantastic school!! My children have been attending here and, as a parent, I am also involved. Our current principal, is new and still learning what it means to be a principal. I wish her all the best as she moves forward. Realizing that we are moving, trying to find a school that has high test scores and student preparedness is very difficult. It will be very hard to find a school that meets our expectations, as Stuart Place has set the bar VERY high!

My grandfather attended Stuart Place, my Mother and her siblings (15 total), my siblings and I(3 total), as well as My three children 1 in high school.. 2 currently attending! It has always been the best school ever and always been the school of choice in my family! We Love Stuart Place Elementary and Staff!

I asked Principle Brauer if I could sit in on my son's class to monitor his behavior. She replied, "no". She referred to FERPA; which she said interferes with privacy issues. She also stated it would be at the discretion of the Principle. I looked up FERPA and she is wrong FERPA clearly states, "does not specifically prohibit a parent or professional working with the parent from observing the parent's child in the classroom." This alarmed me. What does the principle have to hide. I am not there to monitor her teachers but more my son. It is a public school and I have never heard that. Principles are always so welcoming.

My child has attended this school for a year and the school is wonderful. My concern with this school is that there safety priorities for the children are clouded. I repeatedly was allowed to pick up my child without showing an i.d, without signing him out and i had 2 other adults (who weren't on the list) allowed as well to pick up my child. I did it purposely to prove my point. i was not phoned, i was not informed by notice anything that my child had left. Nor where those adults id or signed in either. never given vistor passes anything. This is why i have frowned upon this school. I rather be given a hassle to pick up my own child then find them missing one day due to the schools negligence

This is a truly great school. Vivian Bauer is the principal and truly takes every opportunity to work with faculty, parents and students to provide an excellent environment for children to learn. I have seen both of my children, (year after year), enjoy their teachers, enjoy going to school, and truly learning to their full potential. Mrs. Bauer also does a terrific job of recognizing our local veterans on Veteran's Day; as well volunteer time with the local Cub Scout Pack. Sincerely, A Thankful Parent

This is a school that really cares about it's students! My kids have attended this school from the get go. My wife attended this same school as well. I used to teach in the schools as a police officer and even we would fight to get a chance to teach there. The staff is just wonderful!

The administration and teachers are very committed to ensure the success of each and every student. I was so disappointed when we had to move because my child would have to leave such a wonderful and caring enviroment. It was truly an outstanding group of educators focused on the important aspect of teaching...the child.
