I strongly feel that the elementary program is not adequately preparing the 5th graders for Junior High school. Homework assignments, projects or daily assignment schedules are hardly ever issued. Graded class work use to come home in a Wednesday's folder. However, this year one just has to be on the look out for assignments. I have to check her folder everyday for graded class work. Also, I have to supplement with other educational material, because classwork is not enough for a child to truly grasp all concepts. My child would be completely lost if I were not involved with her education.

The academic program is great. The teachers spend a lot of time motivating the students, getting them prepared, not only for the TAKS, but also for life. The arts program is superb, along with the Toe Tappers. The teachers and principal push for both academic success and extracurricular success, involving the students. Parents are very involved in the school, not only with the PTO, but also when it comes to community outreaches and fundraisers.

I feel that this school is okay but is very much in need of help. Hardly any parent involvement and the principal is very snobbish. I have two children that go to this school. I guess over all it is okay.
