The Awty Intertational School

The school was harsh to my child. The curiculum wasn't great at all. They were only strong in languages and the children there were mean to my child. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

This is my third year at Awty, my oldest child now in kindergarten and my youngest entering Pre-K3. I have been very impressed with the small class sizes and very low student/teacher ratio, and the warm and nurturing environment. The preschoolers spend 50% of their time in English and 50% in either French or Spanish. The academics are strong even at this young age and become quite rigorous beginning in lower school (first grade). The campus is truly international and walking through you will hear many different languages being spoken. Awty truly celebrates diversity and differences in a caring environment which fosters and expects academic excellence from its students.

This is my 16th year as a parent at Awty International. My daughter graduated with an IB degree, and my son is now sitting for the IB. This is the best school in Houston! The academics are challenging, all of the students are bilingual, many speak three languages, and the student body has students from more than 60 countries. The school is very hands-on in helping students and the classes are small. Only very capable and motivated students need apply! Rather than mold students to be alike, Awty celebrates the differences. The Upper School Administration is excellent in dealing with teenage problems, and helping the student feel empowered and confident. There are many opportunities for sports and extracurricular activities at Awty. The students not only get into top colleges, but are well prepared to succeed. The IB is the best college preparation available. Awty is an amazing school!
