As a parent, I was unsettled by the lack of safety measures taken in areas such as proper fire safety equipment, broken playground equipment and classroom furniture. Teachers did their best with the limited resources provided, but they seemed overwhelmed by what apeared to be a lack of administrative support. Daycare children often appeared in regular classroom settings, disrupting the learning environment. Being charged so much for so little was quite disheartening. As a Christian, I was dissapointed to see such dishonesty in the name of Christ.

From an educator's standpoint (public school), First Christian Academy has high standards and is not afraid to stick to those standards. My child has completed one year at this school and begins the coming year in PK-4. He is learning a lot and has a love for school and learning. It gives me a peace of mind to know that while I am at work, my child's needs are being met and his mind and knowledge is growing. The teachers are consistent and caring. My child loves his school and his teachers, which means that I can relax because he is in good hands.

FCA has wonderful extra-curricula activities! I have 2 girls and 1 boy 3,6, and 12. Summertime has been a blast for my kids. Morning is filled with hands-on academics, afternoons with field trips and arts and crafts. The cost for these are minimum! During the school year they offer spanish, computer, music, art and a full aray of no extra cost!

My husband and I are very pleased with this school. We feel our daughter has learned so much. There is so much one on one with the Principal and the teachers, not just with the students but with the parents too.

My experience at FCA has been and is great. Yes, my children took the diagnostic test but, before I completed the registration process the principal and teacher sat down with me and explained my childs strenghs and weaknesses. I was given the academic plan and after 4years my child is testing and working bbove grade level.

First Christian Academy has provided a wonderful first-time educational experience for my son. Because of the testing they provide at the beginning of school, he was able to move directly into first grade. This gave him the challenge he needed to excell. His teacher is very kind and he bonds well with her, which was important for me as a parent. I am so thankful that Jesus provided this school for him.

This school has adopted a wonderful curriculum and has excellent classroom sizes. The school is not yet accredited. The faculty/staff proved to be unstable this year with a disappointing turnover rate since the start of the school year. I am displeased with the availability of extracurricular activities provided at the school's expense, as almost every organized activity is associated with a sizable monthly fee.

This school only works if you enroll your children very early on in their education. The school does diagnostic testing to determine grade placement and it is not beneficial to a student who will not attend this school through graduation.

I have four daughters who currently attend fca ranging in ages from 2mos-8years, and it has been a wonderful school for my children. They have been there for almost a year. They had excellent summer programs and everyone there is well trained and very informed. Its a great school.

I have been apart of FCA for 6yrs. I have 3 children. FCA offered love, direction and support to my children as well as our family. Christian values and character is of the upmost importance. Academics are solid and made personal.

I actually was a student there, and it didn't help me at all. I had to drop out and get my GED because the schooling there is so behind.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
