My daughter is five years old and she is in Pre-K4 Ms. King is her teacher. Ms.King is an outstanding teacher who always encourages and rewards the childern with postive reinforcement. I have volunteered all throughout the year beacause the teachers at MGA make you feel apprechiated. MGA is above average.
I definitely recommend this school to any parent who wants to see their child excel at a very young age. We have 4 children and they are doing exceptionally well at MGA. MGA teaches them to do things you wouldn't believe little children are capable of. The staff and teachers are the best! They truly love and care about the children. Madkin-Gray is a private school that offers so much more than traditional education; they teach Christian principles as well! We simply love this school! :)
I recommend this school to anyone who is interested in starting there child with an early start on education. My child seems to learn something new weekly and has a very positive outlook on school. The teachers and faculty are professional and friendly.
the education is top notch at the time my kinder could multiply and add combo problems as well as read on the second grade level
MGA is an awesome school! I give them high credits for the starting foundation they have and are implementing in my son. The knowledge my son has gained in the year and a half at this school is truly amazing. He began last summer in their Toddler program and is currently in the Readiness class. He can spell and write his name and can say his colors and numbers both in english and spanish! My youngest will begin this summer in the Toddler program and I am so looking forward for both to gain the knowledge and education that MGA teachers/staff have to offer!
If you have a child who achieves academic milestones at an early age, this is the place in Houston to challenge him or her. The three-year olds at this school learn phonics, and all of them read by the middle of the Pre-K3 year. They use the A Beka Christian curriculum, one year ahead. For example, the Pre-K3 class uses the PK-4 curriculum. At the Kindergartebn level, a gifted and talented program is available. Students wear plaid uniforms and attend chapel weekly. My niece went to school there last year and my son is enrolling this year. The tuition is under $6,000 yearly, which compares quite favorably with the Houston school and Woodlands/Conroe school.
I would recommend this school for any student. The staff is exceptional with the students and the students seems to learn a lot. I have had two of my children who have attended and have done well.
Madkin-Gray Academy, Houston, is a clean, organized, professional environment. Their emphasis is focused on early childhood development and education based on Christian principles. Outdoor activity is part of the daily curriculum, which is healthy for all children. Staff is friendly, yet professional. The atmosphere is calm. Children well-behaved, courteous and disciplined. A good example of a school setting.
Great academic program. My child learn a lot and was 2 grade levels ahead.
This school is a little-known gem in southwest Houston. It has an accelerated and very structured academic curriculum. My oldest daughter learned to read in Pre-K 3. She attending through kindergarten and is now in public school in a Gifted and Talented Program as well as a Dual Language Spanish Immersion Program. She reads far above grade level in both English and Spanish. I credit Madkin Gray with providing her a strong foundation. My youngest daughter (3 yrs. old) now attends Madkin Gray Academy. Piano, gymnastics, dance, etc are available but cost extra. Overall, it's a good school for academics.
