Profile Completeness

BASIC

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

CUTTERS! School won't keep track of people that cut to the front of the line. Now my kids are mad that they won't be able to sit with their friends!! This is crazy! Teachers need to keep more track of children more so they know that they cut. Fix this and I will put five stars. >:-(

To correct this parent that stated there is no other driveway entrance/exit, well there definitely is more than one. The staff directs traffic but allows other staff members including administrators to drive against the flow of traffic to exit the school at the end of the day. If the school utilized the other gate that leads into the neighborhood from the side of the school near the bus ramp then more people can exit the school in a faster, safer manner. It wouldn't be so bad if they made the teachers follow the same exiting procedures as the parents/students. It is very obvious that the teachers do not want to set a good example for the students that are watching this activity go on. The school keeps this exit locked up tight with a gate that swings open and shut. Yeah, pick Mistead for a so called great school if you enjoy spending anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes in an automobile pick up line and wasting about a quarter tank of gas per day just in pick up procedure. This school is definitely built in a bad location, one entrance/exit is not very safe. It is time to utilize the side gate of the school to make pick up procedures faster and safer.

NOTE:There is actually ONE entrance & exit to the school. I am not sure where this parent thinks that there is another path. The school is boarded by the neighborhood, retention pond & park. BTW police officers DO NOT flow traffic,STAFF DO.I pick up my child everyday; BUT I have seen parents on their phones & get into car accidents, not punished for driving the wrong way.Yes the the car situation is unfavorable at this school, but I do not see a solution or they would have done so.I have not observed or heard of any teacher/staff bullying. If anything, they have to deal with a pretty tough & stupid crowd.Plus the teachers are really nice and seem to put up with alot of unruly students who have no guidance at home. My child is in Dual/GT which is why they are there or there would be NO WAY I would let my child go to that school because of the parents and students NOT the staff. As far as teachers, curriculum and etc. I was very pleased with my child's' outcome;there always going to be problems w/student peers & etc.Great school that goes beyond to let the students have a memorable and productive middle school years.School is like brand new, its clean and has a great library and gym.

This school allows teachers and staff to bully parents and students. This school allows and encourages teachers and staff to exit the property against the flow of traffic which creates a dangerous situation. This is not setting a good example for the students or parents. There is more than one entry and exit for this school but the school has it restricted to one pathway and refuses to have a plan for best traffic flow with safety in mind. This school uses the police to allow teachers and staff to move against the flow of traffic and intimidate and punish parents for following the same procedures. Their philosophy equals setting a good example for children by letting teachers and staff to go against the grain in a frenzy to get home by doing these acts. There is proof of this activity.
