Most teachers and staff are great(some not qualified to teach an additional subject which was assigned or they chose). Many of the overqualified teachers/staff are underpaid; or not recognized enough. Extremely low parent involvement, due to the large numbers of foreign parents who lack english, time, and post elementary education. Since the 2004-2005 school year, saftey has dramatically improved. Restrooms are somewhat cleaner (and opened). It's academically lax and overwhelming at times, and needs smaller student-teacher ratio. Great art, music department but not necesseraly the best. Football can do better but is between second and third rate. Tennis is almost first rate, while soccer has seen better times. Golf no longer exists but karate and bowling have some popularity. Over all there is much to be done for a single school; more needs to come from the district, city, State, and federal government.
