My daughter went to DAV in 2013-2014 for kindergarten. I can't speak high enough of the teachers and the school director. Professionals with helping attitude and always smiling. Perfect environment for children. They learn values along with education. It's such a blessing to have a school like this in Houston.
Not as efficient as it used to be before. Education part is falling behind as well as the teacher's quality. Specially pre-k famous teacher giving irresposible answer to most of the parents and blaming it all on the kids for not performing well. Just too much extra activities are affecting daily learning part. Not planing event ahead of time is another issue. There is so much to write but not enough space. Overall i wouldn't recommend to other parents. Public schools are much more better and efficient choice to go for.
We have had our 2 children at this school for 3 years now and have been struck by several things. 1. The school's teachers are the best: a combination of loving but demanding that makes the education fun yet top notch (I argue the best, especially for the price). 2. The school constantly adapts. The principal is open to idea and is always available for discussion. For example, they just grew their school to incorporate 3rd and 4th grades at the request of parents who committed to staying. 3. The kids learn so much more than just academics--social responsibility, stage presence, and fun extra-curricular activities. This is the perfect school for parents who want their children to be in a loving yet challenging environment.
Excellent education in a caring, nurturing environment. My daughter has really blossomed here. When the kindergarten and 1st graders took their IOWA test this past year, they all placed 2-3 grade levels above their current grade...amazing! As an added bonus, she has learned so much about our Indian culture and heritage and is now teaching me!
