Did not like the investment in uniforms especially for the little ones since we started one at 2 years and another at 18 months. But now I love uniforms and am so glad not to have to go through the clothes battle as my friends have with their daughters! It is great not having to pick outfits everyday and being able to wear the same clothes every week for 2-3 years!

Our 4 year old has been here since she was 2 and it's been a nurturing place. No hesitations starting our 2nd child here. Love the language, art, and music programs that supplement the usual reading/writing/arithmetic. For a busy mom, it's so great having piano, ballet, and martial arts here without me having to drive all over town and no need to pack meals and snacks or wash nap linens!

Wonderful school, caring teachers, great parents whose children go on to the best schools including the top private schools even though they are non-legacies. Had the choice of several preschools in the area but so happy we chose this!

I love this school! My energetic 2 year old son is learning at a fast pace. I started potty-training him at 18 months, and with the help of the teachers, my son is now fully potty- trained at 2 years old. The teachers are so loving and caring with all the children. I am thankful for their teaching beacause I can see all the different things that my son is learining. I recommend the school especially for the loving teachers and the curriculum.

The school has a great curriculum. My 4 year old daughter is reading and loves learning. They seemed to be focused on building a good foundation for learning. I like that the school include other languages like Spanish, Latin and French. They also have other programs like ballet that my daughter enjoys. She enjoys going to school everyday. Their healthy food program is impressive as well.

Be very careful before putting your child here because its trap . Before you admit your child they are good but once you have registered you are stuck !! Because you are signing a contract for minimum one year, you cannot take your kid out even if you don t like school or if you are moving out. They will say you can withdraw if you are moving out of greater Houston area i.e. if you are moving to Katy, Sugar Land, Woodland, Pearland, etc. etc. you have to pay them one year fees. My kid went to school only 5 months I had to pay 12 months fees as we moved to Woodland. Moreover, they won t even talk properly if they know you want to withdraw. Its trap stay away from this unprofessional school !!

On the one hand, they potty-trained my toddler son in a flash. On the other hand, over time the stifling Montessori "structure" and the attitudes of some of the 'almost-certified-in-Montessori' staff (read: minimal or no formal higher education in Early Childhood Development or Early Childhood Education) have nearly broken the spirit of my happy, bright, funny, imaginative, boundlessly energetic preschool boy. By the time he really manifested the signs of his stress: waking up at 4am and not being able to get back to sleep, finally having the vocabulary to recite back to me the harsh tones of some of the adult-speak reprimands that appear to have been directed at him -- it was almost too late. I'm heartbroken that I had such faith in this system and particularly in these people. How many negative comments can an adult rattle off about a three-year-old? Real educators are capable of working with children along the spectrum of physical/emotional development. I just hope I can get my sweet, bouncy little boy back. Next stop: Piaget-approach, Early Childhood Development-educated staff who are patient and kind.

This school is fantastic!! it is small enough that your child and you are known by all. my 2 children ages 4.5 and 20 months have attended since they were 4 months old. They have a classroom teacher and then have specialist teachers come in and give them lessong in latin, french, spanish, art, music and even a physical education coach! They taught my daughter to read by 4 years old. They took potty training and made it easy for me! The other parents are professionals and very involved! We love this school!!

I highly recommend this school! The teachers and staff are very caring. This is a nurturing and loving environment. Your child is known by all of the teachers, creating a very family-like atmosphere. The curriculum is AMAZING. I couldn't believe it when my 4 year old (now 5 1/2) was reading Kindergarten and 1st grade-level books, easily! My 2 1/2 year old is recognizing names (of his classmates/teachers), colors, shapes, letters, and numbers, in English, Spanish and French. They definitely take advantage of your child's early learning abilities. The administrative staff is very caring and supportive to its families and are willing to work with you, when/if a situation arises. They have an open-door policy, meaning that you are welcome to meet with your child's teacher on any given day and they include you in all celebrations/holiday parties. We have been proud members of the SNS family for 4 years and have LOVED every moment!!

Horrible administration! Over priced and they make you sign a yearly contract. Any school that will not let you withdraw at your own will should raise a flag! There are plenty of other schools in the area to choose from!

This is the best place I found for my 3 1/2 month old baby! Director very attentive, teachers very responsible, atentive and sweet with the children. The place is very very clean and very organized. I am so relieved that I was able to find them.

My 2 children have attended this school for 4 years and we are extremely happy with the environment, the curriculum, and especially the staff. I have no doubts about placing my 3rd child there, beginning in the wonderful infant room and continuing through elementary.

Our child has been attending Saint Nicholas School at Braeswood for about four years now. We are very pleased with the academic foundation, quality of education, character development and discipline, care and guidance provided by the Saint Nicholas School. We have witnessed an improvement in the administration in the last couple of years. Our concerns were timely addressed and resolved. Parental participation in various activiities is getting better. We also do not have the concerns that most of our friend's children face at their schools. At this time, we are very pleased with the school.

All three of my children have attended this school from a very early age, and have received excellent academic instruction and loving personalized attention. Above and beyond this, though, the school has played a part in equipping them to live their lives in such a way as to make the world and lives they interact with a better place. When I was a child in the Houston area I attended two other private schools with excellent academics but disappointing student interactions. Saint Nicholas is one of those very rare schools that gets it right most of the time, not only academically, but in the life values they successfully communicate to their students.

Went to this school for most of my life. The teachers are lovable. They teach you lots. This is an academic experience you will not get in any other place. They really take care of you and love you dearly. After going to highschool They really gave me a heads start and a passion to be the best I can be!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
