Amazing school! We love that this school is much smaller than most of the others in CCISD. Everyone seems to know everyone, and there seems to be a lot more accountability because of this! The principle is pretentious, and wildly disliked by most , but the teachers are amazing! Terri, the front office secretary, is wonderful. I am so glad we chose this school! Plus, walking our beautiful trail to school every morning has really created a sense of community. We couldn't be happier!
My husband and I are so happy with this school. Our daughter is learning a lot , the best thing of all is that she loves her school and her teacher . She had a great teacher that inspires her and motivates her.we are sure that our daughter is receiving the best education, thank you teachers for your excellent job. Specially to mrs. Adams .
Teachers Supports Only Good Strength for Students. Mrs.Addington, you are doing Good Job,Great guidance as well as Good support to students, Hope, we will get continuous improvement from your end day by day. Based Your Performance My Baby will Get Positive Improvement on studies. Thanks For Great Job.
really a very good school , my daughter is in 4th grade just entered a couple month ago. she loves her class teacher Mrs.Addington and also the school. Inour home country she hates the school but here in Armand bayou she loves to go. Iam too proud of such a good administration
I am very unsatisfied with our school. The first week of school 9/29/2013 my son was sent home as a walker instead of a Day Care. So my 5 year old in Kindergarten walked all alone to his day care un-supervised. I had e-mailed the teacher letting her know the day that my son was supposed to be a walker under my supervision and instead they sent him as walker on the wrong day. Thank God he was not kidnapped, run over, rapped etc. I e-mailed the Principal for a conference after school and never received a reply. Instead I showed up at the school to speak with her and find out what happened and raise concern so it doesn t happen to anyone. The principal gave me the runaround and never gave me a straight answer. I asked the question who puts the kids in the lines for walker and bus riders ? The principals reply was I don t know !!!! Nothing was documented and I was supposed to hear from the principal 9/05/2013 and I have not heard from them to this day. Thank God he is safe, his angels were with him. I hope this doesn t happen to anyone else.
We have had a great experience with our kids at Armand Bayou. One of our kids was on the robotics team and it has changed his life. He has learned to do presentations and work as a part of the team. The robotics team won in both the local and state competition. He was also part of the gifted program and took a leadership class. I would recommend this school to anyone.
Mrs. Holmes is a great asset to Armand Bayou. She is part of the Dyslexia department and she is wonderful with my daughter.
We moved here from Goose Creek ISD which was an absolute nightmare! This school has outstanding teachers and a professional and organized principal. The parental involement is lacking (except for the select few parents that are always there and available to help) but over all this school is absolutely wonderful!
Ms. Cave was our child's 2nd grade teacher. She presents academics so every child learns in her class. She causes her students to find their strengths with positive encouragement and reenforcement. Our child's confidence and self esteem soared as he succeeded academically in her class. Ms. Cave is a pillar to elementary education and major asset to ABE.
Great kids, dedicated teachers, much welcomed parent involvement. Overall an excellent campus.
Staff was involved with my son's speach therapy and the staff was friendly too. My son had a great teacher too.
This school is very well maintain and the music teacher is great. The parents participate in alot
I am not a parent, I am a teacher at Armand Bayou Elem. It is a wonderful school to work at. The faculty, staff, and parents work together to achieve student success.
This is my child first year at Armand Bayou, we have loved it! The teachers care about all of the children. The standards are high in all areas. Mrs Machnaik really enjoys and wants parent involment. She really focuses on reading from day one. The reading level of your child is very important to her. She started reading contracts from day one of the school year. I am at the school a lot and I see the teachers and staff are so caring to the children. My child is a little behind in reading. We thought their might be a learning disability. We went through the process with Mrs Machniak help. After all the testing there was no learning disability. I feel that it done shiftly with Mrs Machniak help. She is a very involved teacher. Most of the teachers I have come across have years of experince. The is a great school.
It's a great school for children of Pk-5th grade. Under the leadership of the Principal plus the outstanding performance of all teachers and staff, the school has won the State Examplerary School in the past few years. The school has the highest TAKS scores among the CCISD last year. But, level of parent involement needs to be encouraged. The relationship between teachers and parents need to be improved. It is my daughter's second years in this school, and she is like it every day and every year!
Excellent Pre-K program. My daughter started in January and is a 'different child' now. She loves learning, loves going to school and every activity there.
My son and daughter attended Armand Bayou Elementary K-5. I found teachers to be highly skilled in knowledge and presentation of curriculum as well as extra-curricular activities. Classrooms provided structure as well as time for individual student needs. The Principal was highly experienced and well respected by teachers, parents, as well as the district. There was high parent involvement in all activities - no lack of parent volunteers for any need. Parents and teachers worked well together making overall learning experience best for students. Both of my children were well prepared for advancement to Intermediate Level.
Armand Bayou has been an excellent place for our child to begin learning his academic education accompanied by positive social attitudes. Our principal and teachers are child advocates who promote the support of family and school. ABE is a safe, secure environment with a visitor sign in policy and view of entrances by office staff. The classrooms are between 19-23 students providing a quality student/teacher ratio. Our child learns and retains the material taught because of the care taken by our teachers to make it interesting, educational and fun. Our child has confidence in himself because of the trust and respect given and received between students, teachers and staff. What a great foundation for our child to build the rest of his education upon. Thank You, Mrs. Kelling and ABE Teachers and Staff. -Cheri Ewert
