You should DEFINITELY attend this elementary school. At my past school, I felt like I was excluded from other students. There are many kind and well educated students there. The teachers are exceptional at teaching; if there's something you don't understand, they'll help you understand it better and not get frustrated. I also want to compliment the large group teachers, they are willing to help and will build up your confidence. The principal, the counselors, and the teachers helped with my bullying problems. I am very sad to leave all of them for middle school. - Past student

Awful school! The teachers focus only on the children that are doing well. The children are taught how to memorize for the many test that they have to take. Teachers are there just to a get check, what happened to the passion of teaching? My child's teacher told my child "You're getting on my last nerve" My child is in the second grade, and would never tell my child something like that! The communication between the teachers and myself was horrible, because there wasn't any type of communication! My child needed tutoring, tutoring lasted three days. When I asked about tutoring the teachers said the discuss their schedules and get back with me, they never did. Not all of the teachers are bad teachers, my child just ended up with two teachers with really bad attitudes. And what really bothered me is when I went to have a conference with this teacher, she was sitting at the table with her son doing worksheets

My son is autistic and has excelled in his class. Ms. Pry is amazing!! He has went up two reading levels in two months. The life skills staff, regular education teachers, and office staff are excellent. I am a very involved parent and the communication between the school staff and parents is wonderful. Also attending IEP meetings this school really cares about parents being involved in the decision making process. I can't say enough good things about this school.

My son started at Willbern from Kindergarten and went through half of his 2nd grade school year. Dr. Carrie Marz (head principal) is awesome and it definitely reflects throughout the rest of her staff (teachers and all.) Cyfair school district have listed this campus as an "open campus" for the 2014-15 school year, and my son is going back...hopefully to finish his last 2 years. LOVE, LOVE this school! P.s. even he says the teachers are better there then where he's currently at (another cyfair school)!

Just to give a more recent review about this school. My son attended this school for kindergarten and first grade. His reading skills really improved alot. I love the principals and the administration staff. The teachers are wonderful as well. They are very hands on with the kids and patient. We'll relocating to the Klein district soon, (due to purchasing a home) but, overall I have to say, I'll REALLY MISS Willbern Elementary!

I have 3 children at Willbern Elementary. The teachers are fantastic...caring, supportive and willing to work with the parents above and beyond. The staff is always coming up with ways to motivate our students. There is fun mixed with learning, which is so important for elementary children.

Willbern is a fabulous school. The staff is dedicated to the students. I have grown to love the diversity of the student population. The growth of students absolutely amazes me. I have found great support from fellow parents and the PTO. I am excited about the new principle. She seems very approachable. Great things will happen at Willbern!

Both of my children are attending Willbern. One in 5th other in Kindergarten. I love this school. No school is perfect, but my approval is 90% positive. I had the pleasure (and headache) of being on the PTO for years. I'm not any longer, but support them 100%. We would love more parent involvement. I know the number of parents that were involved when we started verses now has tripled (PTO works very hard to get our parents involved). As for our Principle, I could not be happier with the change. She absolutely is a wonderful person. She is so excited and happy to be at Willbern. No there is no extracurricular activities. I would like to know what other schools have. We could work on that. If you are looking for a good organization Cy-Fair Sports Assoc. is great. Teachers A++. In 6 yrs have nothing bad to say.

We have 2 children in this school and I really like it. We have a new principal this year and she is wonderful. I received a response to an email in less than 10 minutes after sending it. Our school has some economically disadvantaged children and as a result parent involvement during the day is not as great as I would like but from what I have seen in the evening activities it is good. We have an active PTO and I have never had a teacher I could not talk with. Overall I would recommend this school

My son started this year and it has been a headach there has been student beating and brusing him with no supervision around that is possible. they seem to find things out later on after the situation has escalated. Very dissapointed so far. The teachers seem to focus on the students already doing well and not so much the ones falling behind that is not a good thing as far as I have seen. I would like to say Good things but first I have to SEE them.

Both of my children came to Willbern from another school district. I am very pleased with the level of concern the staff has for the children. The teachers and faculty work diligently to ensure quality education for the students. Unlike my children's previous school, communication is excellent, therefore parents always have knowledge regarding the children's progress.

Very good and caring teachers. My son is being screened for a learning disability and the teachers and staff are very proactive in getting the ball rolling with testing and getting him the resources he needs. He's very enthusiastic about going to school every day. Very caring staff and teachers. I'm very pleased with the school.

This is an excellent elementary school. My daughter went there from Kindergarten through 5th, and we were very happy all the way through. No school is faultless all the time, but I would certainly send another child of mine to it. They teach music classes but have no orchestra and only a 5th-grade choir, art classes and projects. We ourselves were not interested in extracurricular sports etc., but they are available. The only complaint we have is that in PE classes the teachers were only interested in the kids that were in extracurricular sorts; if you weren't, they didn't know you existed. Academics are excellent and the teaching is very good. Parental involvement is welcomed and encouraged, and the PTO is very active.

This is a good with a big BUT...the new principal is very military like and likes to make a lot of unnecessary rules. The school is heavily Hispanic so the ESL classes and students get a lot more attention than the average and gifted classes. Music, art and PE are on 6 week rotation like all CFISD schools. Compared to other CFISD elementaries in the immediate area (Bang, Post, & Gleason) there is a lower economic level at Willbern which translates into a lower parental involvement and no 'extra' outside school activities such as nice 5th grade graduations parties.
