Crespo is arguably the best place for a child to learn and grow in a strong fine arts and academic program combined! As soon as you walk in the school you're immersed in student art work neatly showcased all around a tip top clean and aesthetically pleasant environment. The school boasts much student recognition and awards from various competitions around the area of fine arts, children are given much opportunity to participate in each of the fine art programs, and all of the departments collaborate to put on several plays over the school year. Ample experiences are provided for students to see performances by local artists of the fine arts world too. The leaders here lead by actually following, and following what is in the best interest of a child's success through academics and fine arts. This is apparent in the half day planning collaborations, block scheduling of core content areas, and science labs for all grade levels. Great time and dedication is put into the effort of student success, and the results come together in a unique culmination of fine arts and academics for all children who attend.
Crespo is dedicated to the safety and high academic achievement of every child. The new administrative team is doing an excellent job of revitalizing the arts program and building strong relationships between the school and the surrounding community.
Although this school has an excellent fine arts program the students follow a block schedule which is very confusing. They attend each class an hour and thirty minutes on certain days and forty five minutes on others. Nevertheless it is a great school for children who are interested in fine arts. They can teach children to play an instrument or take classes in ballet.
