The teachers at this school does not take interest in helping the kids that really need extra help. Either the child get it or not, they are not taking extra steps to help, they just smile and act like they are concerned..What happed to teaching, they only focus on passing the STAAR test, what happened to general academics, general education, since the main focus is the STAAR, can our kids al least get the basics in the classroom..Inaddition, my child had to attend summer school, and the teachers decided that they were going to change the dates, not a problem, but they forgot that the parents was going to need the status of their child passing or being retained.. I waited the whole summer to this date and have not received any information on paper on the test scores .. or status of my child.How as a business profession you don't consider how your parents will be affected waiting for the info.. Personally, I am missing out on good schools not having this info.Everytime I call the school a staff member is always going t be in Monday.I have not seen a Monday yet. They ask that the parents be involved, but the parents cannot ask the teachers and staff to be able.

I went to this school only two years ago. This school, if not, has taught me so much. The eachers are excellent and the staff is too. The only problem is the schoo lis old and so are the supplies that they use for children but the school is being remodled. The school is small but the learning enviroment is great. Honestly this school definatley does have flaws but the teachers work hard to educate the children and the staff is strict on safety.

I am in no way impressed with this school! I am very disappointed with them for teaching the TAKS test.....they seem to be more worried about test scores and impressing ppl with that than actually giving our kids a good education.

My son will begin his 3rd year at this school. They are very strict about child safety, test scores, getting nutritious meals and being timely. Students have had issues with arriving late in the past years, but they now have it set up to where if your child does not arrive by a certain time, they wiil not be able to eat breakfast. They keep parents out of the campus halls and classrooms between 2:30-3:00 to keep students in order and not to be worried about whose parent they see out the door/window. It allows the teacher more control over the class while ending the day/passing out papers/backpacks,etc. Overall, it's a very good school, but it's a little too small to accomodate the community it surrounds. I see the need for another elementary school to be built not too far from here because new homes are being built in the area.
